Fitz and the Fool Trilogy (3 Book Series) Review: The assassins adventures continue - The Author has written quite a few trilogies in this world. Not sure on the reading order For this particular trilogy. I read it after the farseer trilogy and before the liveship trader trilogy. There were a few spoilers in the books that showed up in the liveship trilogy (since fitz and fool is later in the timeline and the live ships show up therein), but it also made the liveship trilogy more interesting as an excellent back story to those brave adventurers of the futz and fool trilogy. Review: A Beautifully Heartbreaking Finale - The Fitz and the Fool trilogy is a stunning, emotional conclusion to Robin Hobb’s long-running saga. Fitz is older and more broken, the Fool is hauntingly brilliant, and their bond is the true core of this story. Hobb’s writing is rich, immersive, and deeply character-driven—she captures love, sacrifice, aging, and loyalty with incredible honesty. The pacing is slow at times but intentional, unfolding like real life. Longtime fans will appreciate the subtle callbacks (including touching nods to Nighteyes). The final book, Assassin’s Fate, absolutely wrecked me in the best way—heartbreaking, yet deeply respectful to the journey we’ve followed for so many years. If you’ve walked alongside Fitz and the Fool before, this trilogy is a must-read. It’s emotional, unforgettable fantasy storytelling. Be ready to feel everything.

Great Trilogy
I loved these books. This is the third trilogy in a series of three, starting with The Assassin's Apprentice, where FitzChivalry Farseer, the main character, is a child. Robin Hobb's writing is lyrical in places, her plot moves, her sub-plots weave neatly together, and her main characters are interesting and likeable. I came to care about what happened to them. If you like fantasy, I can't recommend the "Fitz and the Fool" trilogy highly enough, though you may get the most enjoyment out of it if you read the two preceding trilogies first: one about Fitz, and the second about the Fool. Having finished the last book just a few days ago, it feels as if I've bidden good-bye to characters I've come to know, admire, and like.

so good we ripped them in half!
These books are so good that I couldn't wait for my partner to finish reading them. When he was half way through the first, we ripped the book in half so that I could start reading the first half while he finished the second half. Ditto for the second book. I usually don't rip books down the seam, but these are paperback and the story is just so amazingly good that I couldn't wait! Gotta find something to dive into to escape from the pandemic stress and these books are my mental health time. Thank you Robin Hobb, you are an amazing storyteller!!

Amazing Series
I've just finished the last book and I am bereft. No spoilers of course, but after 16 books, I can't believe it's over. This is probably the best series I've ever read. I loved the characters. I wish there were more, but it ended so well that I'm not mad, just a little sad

Keep getting wrong books
Pictured are books 7, 8, 9 in the Fool/Assassin series. I've ordered and will return them an second time now, I keep getting books 5, 6, 7 which I've already read. They were great books, but I don't want to read them again.
