SAMSUNG M471B5173QH0-YK0 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L - 12800S DDR3 SODIMM

Bought it to upgrade the All in one PC that already had 4GB which is so so enough just for bare win10 functionality. Made a difference as expected. The ram modules 1600MHz so in no way is this a cheapo product. Nicely packed in retail shell with a seal sticker all around its waist. Simple slide in, press till clamp installation that takes no more than couple of minutes. Works like a champ, year and a half later. What I find pleasing is the price dropped by 8 bucks. I thought these would go up in price. Definitely recommending this part in. Match the MHz and capacity to have a matching pair of them in your system to prevent incompatibility and possible post errors.

Got a pair of these to add new life to some old systems by bumping the memory from 4GB to 8GB has worked perfectly so far. The two systems used the same 4GB modules (not Samsung) so I took it from one system to add it to the other to make 8GB and added this pair to the system I removed it from. Shouldn't really be necessary, always safest to have matched module pairs if possible.

Ordered two sticks of Samsung M471B5173QH0-YK0 4GB DDR3L PC3-12800 1.35V, hoping for a matched pair. Sold by: A-Tech Components, Shipped by Amazon. For some reason, amazon split my order up and shipped from two different warehouses Spokane, WA and Euclid, OH. I ended up with one stick of: M471B5173DB0-YK0, D die, Made in China 1435 M471B5173QH0-YK0, Q die, Made in Philippines 1523 Packing labels says M471B5173QH0-YK0 on both sticks, so there's some random binning of assorted RAM under one SKU. While the tech specs are pretty much the same speed/timings, I would of preferred an identical pair, produced at the same time. Physically, the Q die modules are larger than the D die. Looks to be brand new, genuine Samsung DDR3L memory. Came in clear plastic RAM clamshell packaging. Shipping took about a week by slow ground. shipped in a bubble, padded mailer envelope This SoDIMM is high density, single rank, 4 chips on each side, for a total of 8, so it might not work on older laptops. SPD timings are 11-11-11-28 @ 800 Mhz and works at 1.35v fine. Passed Memtest86+ with no errors in dual channel mode. Memory works fine at listed specs, good price. Not happy about the random selection of modules under one SKU and the split shipment.

The packaging is a little suspect as Samsung products usually come in good quality retail style packaging. This RAM came in an unlabeled and unsealed plastic package with only the sticker on the actual RAM indicating Samsung as the manufacturer. With that said, it seems to be working just fine. I'll update this review should I have any problems.

This Samsung module was simple to install and gave an instant boost to the operational speed of the laptop. A great way at a low cost to increase your satisfaction with an older laptop by bringing the performance up to newer models. I don't any other hardware that is inexpensive to purchase, easy to install, and provide a noticeable improvement to our laptops than adding RAM. This particular module doubled the RAM in my laptop. Very satisfied, and I've always been very pleased with products from Samsung.

The Dell Inspiron 14R with 4MB of ram was as slow as pouring honey that's been sitting outside in the middle of winter. I tried deleting apps and adding accelerating apps nothing was working. So out of curiosity, I checked out the price of adding additional ram. The price was so low that I figured, what do I have to lose. It may not be as fast as some newer laptops, but it works for me.

This is not M471B5173QH0-YK0 memory. What was shipped was M471B5173EB0-YK0. From what I have read on them both the SPECs are the same. Pros: Specs appear to be the same. Did not show up as dead or incompatible when installed. Cons: Not the product specifically stated in the description (I could have picked up this model number for $16.99 vs $19.99 here) The packaging was horrible. It coms in a clear plastic bag with no protection and loose in a box. This is not how memory (especially new memory) is shipped. I gave it 3 stars as it is not DOA and the computer boots. So far as I am running memory tests on it to make sure it is compatible and will not die on me. I will update this review positive or negative after I have finished testing it. The best rating this will get is 3 stars not because the product does not end up working but because people purchase specific part number memory because they want to match their existing memory (the ICs/chips on this board are not the same).

I bought this product to upgrade an older laptop. it worked right away and came from USA to Australia a lot quicker the some local items.

I use this laptop as my daily driver. And after getting into designing my daily scenario was Photoshop + Illustrator + chrome opened at the same time. As as all this 3 programs are RAM hungry my stock RAM was always over 90%+ with laptop lagging quite a lot even to do simply task. Very happy with the additional 4GB RAM from this stick. Runs very smoothly now with minimal lag compare to before
