Illustrated Book of Mormon Stories

I love the overview of the stories and the little notes inside. Perfect for bedtime stories.

I was having trouble finding a way to help my boys have personal scripture study every day. They are ages 10 and 12. I bought this book and also the "Illustrated Bible Stories for Latter Day Saints" for them as Christmas presents. They absolutely love the books!! Each story is only two pages long with excellent illustrations. My boys are reading every day now and have been since Christmas (it is almost March now.) They are interested in the stories and have both commented on how much they are learning and how easy the stories are to understand.One of my sons asked if he could have a similar book about church history. The author hasn't written one yet- I sure hope one comes available soon! I highly recommend these books!

I bought this for my Mother to study with her. She grew up Baptist. She had so many questions and she could relate to many of the stories. I was so happy that she could relate to the many stories for our time. I can’t wait to study with my Mother with her new book with pictures.

Deserves more than five stars. Beautiful book and photos. Thorough stories. Perfect for ages 7-9 -- or anyone who wants to supplement their study of the Book of Mormon with a story form. It has really helped my 2nd grader become familiar with the Book of Mormon. He reads it on his own in conjunction with the weekly Come Follow Me program this year.

This book is helping my kids fall in love with the stories of the Book of Mormon. My hope in reading the retelling of these stories is that my children will have a great love of the scripture stories so they will be motivated to continue reading on their own when they grow. It is very hard for a 2-5 year old to have patience to read a whole story directly from the Book of Mormon, but in reading these renditions they have a new love for prophets of old, that I hope will stay with them forever and they will be excited as they grow to study all the words in the Book of Mormon. My kids and I have loved this book so much we just ordered the Bible Stories book by same author and illustrator.

As the father of young children, I was feeling the desire to introduce the Book of Mormon to my four and two year old children. I found the typical language of the BoM a little advanced for them. I bought this book in hopes that it would be an introduction to the BoM stories and get our family in the habit of daily scripture study with the kids. This book was spot on and exactly what I was hoping it to be. Although I personally get less spiritual exposure out of reading from this book, the kids have thoroughly enjoyed the nightly stories that are 2 page summaries of each major area of the BoM. The illustrations are good, although I find that most of the reading ends up being great prompts for discussions with the kids (mainly the four year old) about the Book of Mormon. This book lays the foundation for later study of the real Book of Mormon and it is a joy to hear my son ask at bedtime, "Can we read the Book of Mormon?" I highly recommend this book to families with small children. I plan on checking out the other books they have made for the New Testament, etc.

Accurate, detailed, and complete stories. There are pictures and explanations of concepts and terms that are great for teaching children the context of the stories.

There is only so kid friendly you can make the Book of Mormon and I feel like this book did a good job. It is a little advanced for the ages of my kids but it's definitely better than not having it. I would say this is ideal for kids 4-10 years old.
