Prickly Pear Puree

This is a hit with anyone who comes over. A little puree topped with champagne…you guests won’t leave till they drink you dry.

This is the second time that I have ordered this through Amazon. I don't have a problem with the vendor; the first time it came packed in dry ice, and the most recent time packed in a small cooler. Shipping is expensive but it arrived at my door within 24 hours of ordering still completely frozen. I buy six and split the cost with friends. A little goes a long way and it lasts a long time. If you want the best prickly pear puree, this is it.

Really tasty product without a bunch of garbage ingrediants like the other brands. However, you need to keep them Frozen until you use them because they do start to turn because they are so natural. I bought them for the bar I work at for margaritas and they are delicious

I bought this at Big John's Market in Healsburg. The only thing wrong with it is that, it is impossible to use it all before it spoils. I put it in the freezer and it was too solid to get very much out of it. I moved it the refrigator and it all melted. The reason its more expensive to ship is it weight heavy. If they would make smaller packaging I would buy it again. I would just suggest this if you have a house of 12 kids or a big party with many guests. I just hate to have to throw away most of the product, but it expires in 7 days when opened. I should have placed it into smaller containers, but that did not occur to me and refroze it that way. The Prickly Pear is very sweet and has a lot of sugar. Its natural cane sugar, but one will gain a lot of weight and go on a sugar high if you try to use it all in 7 days. If you are trying to gain weight go for it. I would rather have less sugar and if I wanted it sweeter I could add my own sugar to it. I am not saying no sugar, but just less sugar would be better. Otherwise, it is all natural, a great concept product.

Great Product. Bought this to use in a Prickly Pear Mead. Will also use in margaritas. Excellent flavor and color. Shipping is a bite so if you are going to order, make it worth your while and order at least three for it to be cost effective...

Really like this unique flavoring for frozen margaritas. Serving red margaritas was a lot of fun for a weekend party.

This mix makes a delicious martini using pear vodka, sweet and sour mix and prickly pear puree. You can also find this at Whole Foods in a smaller size at a reasonable price
