Great product in more ways than one
I have a weird experience with this product. I have a very rare skin disease. On my hands and feet that has been in complete remission for 16 years but looks like it MAY be getting ready to emerge again. The worst news ever. I thought for sure in 16 years they must have come up with new medications, treatments etc. so I immediately do my research. Nope. Nothing. The only thing I found on the forums with people with same ailment was bee pollen and aloe added to treatment helps. So I found this product online and ordered it. Mind you, I only had one tiny mark that showed up so far to indicate it may be coming back. But I hadn’t even had that in 16 years. So I have been putting it on every day, a few times a day since I got it on my hand and I also had a small cut on my chin so, for no reason in particular - I put it on there too. Then slowly I just started putting it on my face everyday after my shower. I’m 56 and already look 40 tops. Just good genes, no beauty, just look like a young kid, But in just a couple of weeks, my face has never looked this good. I can’t explain it. It’s crazy. I’m not a big “skin routine” person. So I DON’T try a lot of things but OMG I cannot believe how youthful my skin looks - not to mention it really seems to be helping in holding off my relapse, at least for now. Which is the most important thing, because it is such a painful and debilitating disease. And I thought after 16 years of remission, I was finally free of it. It’s helped so much, I’ve had so little to be hopeful for. They have a new customer for life. I wish I could afford to buy a bottle a week. As it is with “the world” right now, I’ll have to pinch pennys to keep it on hand, but I will.

One of the best essences I've used
This is one I come back to time and time again. It really moisturizes, is unscented, and has great ingredients, like propolis and royal jelly. The best thing about it is, the slip of it. It has this amazing, cushiony slippy feel that's replicated no where else. I love it. It locks in moisture and on some hot nights, it's all I need. Highly recommend.

Always a repurchase
I've loved this serum for years and will continue to use it so long as Skinfood makes it. I have very dry skin that's prone to dehydration, mild acne, and redness. This helps reduce how flushed I get during hot days, helps retain moisture from my other products, and the antibacterial benefits of propolis mean less chance of my breakouts getting worse. It's fairly lightweight and I only need 2-3 drops over my toner to cover my face and neck. It gives a nice sheen to the skin without feeling sticky or heavy and layers with other creams and cosmetics well. It's not irritating to my skin when she's feeling sensitive either, so it's great when I need a gentle routine.

I really like it, but the skin feel isn't the greatest
I really like it, but the skin feel isn't the greatest. I wouldn't exactly call it sticky to where it's uncomfortable, but it's weird. I do love how it instantly moisturizes my skin and keeps it moisturized. It's also very healing. It def has a little bit of plumping action too. I feel as though it helps my products penetrate better, so I use it every other night under my AHA treatment. I have very sensitive, very acne prone skin and this did not break me out, nor does it cause my combination skin to have a oil slick. The trick is to not use too much or you'll notice the stickiness and you'll get oily (I have combination skin). Besides you don't need a lot anyway, a little goes a loooong way. I think I'm going to try one of their toner waters next, they look refreshing! I like that the products have minimal ingredients. Most of the ingredients are natural, although there are mainstream cosmetic ingredients as well, like hyaluronic acid. The website states that it has 63% propolis, 10% royal jelly, and 10% honey. Cool. I love propolis, it's very healing. The weird thing is, I'm very familiar with propolis. Extracts of propolis are very dark and stain the skin, while this is a clear product. Although my oil extracts of propolis are lighter in color, they still are not colorless. So ya that's strange, my thoughts are maybe they use a cosmetic extraction that is colorless?

It’s great for dry skin.
Colorado winters are extremely dry, but after using this, the dryness completely disappeared and my skin has a healthy glow.

Leaked inside box and dries sticky!
The cap on the essence was loose and about a teaspoon of the product leaked inside the box. The box was taped and seemed new, so I’m inclined to think it was a problem with the manufacturer putting the product inside the box. Also, this essence dries down very sticky so I’ve been using it as a last step to seal in the serums. I’ve read other review that say the stickiness doesn’t last long, but for me the stickiness lasts for hours. I don’t mind this during the day when I’m not going out anywhere, but I definitely can’t wear this under makeup. It does seem to be hydrating and it doesn’t break my skin out, so that’s a good thing. I’ve only been using it for a few days, so I’ll see if there will be any skin benefits. It’ll be hard to say since I’m using other skincare products in conjunction with it. UPDATE: I’ve done a little experimenting with this and I’ve found if I’m putting it on bare skin (like the back of my hand) it absorbs great and doesn’t leave a sticky residue. But if I’m putting it on before or after serums, it makes my face sticky. However, on days where my face is extra dry and I need a moisturizer on top, I’ve found that the moisturizer gets rid of the stickiness. I’ve also tried it under foundation and it makes it really hard to blend in. I end up having these smeared thick bits of foundation that I’ll have to gently work/pat into the skin.
