I had been trying to find some simple clips for both our vehicles (older model Toyota & Jeep) with two different types of vent styles. Toyota had rather thick vent louvers and the Jeep standard thin vent louvers. I bought this 2 pack to try them out and after only just checking the fit they work on both our cars (yeah).We use Android phones about 6 inches or so in length and about 3 inches in width and the spring loaded side grips hold both phones nicely. Easy to remove the phone with one hand too which is nice YET it seems to hold it firmly enough.In my car, the weight of the phone sort of causes the holder to tilt down BUT if in my case the vent is above the radio area and the phone simply rests on the portion of dash around the radio location which is fine. Doesn't block anything but every car is different so take that with a grain of salt. You will just have to buy these and try the fit first.I have yet to use them while driving but as they seem to fit I can't see any reason why they would not work. The clip section is nice and thick too so hopefully over time the cold and heat won't cause them to break but if I don't need my phone in place such as for a trip I don't have these clips always on anyway and just toss them in the glove compartment. If you wanted to leave them on the vent all the time they seem like they are solid enough not to wear out.If anything changes with use I will update this review but I would recommend these for the value and simple yet solid design.To install, I simply loosened the phone grip section where the ball joint is and easily connected the clip section then tightened the thumb screw which is a good design too. Then I loosened the clip side and just slid the clip onto the vents and tightened that thumb screw too and adjusted the unit with connect in the cradle and that's it. For thicker vents....you cannot squeeze the clip together to make it wider but on our Toyota that has those thicker vent louvers I was able to easily work the clip over the thick louver and then tighten the screw and it seemed fine. In fact, for a thicker vent louver you probably don't need to crank down on that thumb screw as hard and it will still hold firmly.Hope this helps.

I drive for a living and this little phone mount is a staple for my everyday job. Literally can not function with out this thing. I have purchased 8 times. The only complaint I have is the price going up. When I originally bought these they were 8.99 for a two pack. But they are still top notch. Will keep using and purchasing 🤗

Update -Manufacturer reached out, wanted to hear more about my issues, said they’d pass on the info to the QA team and offered a different model to try. The newer one (which had a hook) also had a smaller tightening knob. This review is not for that product but I did up the review rating due to the fantastic customer service. So mental note to 2017 Prius owners, grip vent mounts may work if the tightening knob is small.Original -There are a ton of cell phone vent mounts on the market. Vent hooks, grips, and friction. This one is a adjustable grip (with limited range).It’s a budget one so don’t expect too much. No frills at all specifically. Just the clamp on a ball joint which slightly tightens the grip around a vent blade and the spring phone mount grip which fits an iPhone 12 and a Xs in our case.The vent blade grip does not tighten down well on our Prius vents and I tried several locations. Some better than others but still not great. There is potential that it will scratch the vent blade as well, so please be gentle when installing it. The tightening knob is also larger than expected so getting a good location that will fit it and still be able to tighten it down correctly can be challenging.The phone grip has a loud flimsy spring which does an “ok” job holding the 2 iPhones we own. Better on the 12 than the Xs because it’s larger. Probably won’t last long.So, is this a fantastic vent phone mount? Nope. Is it budget friendly? Yes. You get 2 for the price, they aren’t great, but functional (minimally) if you can find an “ok” mounting location. If you want something long term, this isn’t it.

Bought 10 of these for my work trucks. They are basic holders but, provide a safer driving environment. Good quality.

I do not recommend this product because it's too small to fit most modern phones. Did not work for my Samsung s23. Even if it did barely fit, the mount piece would be so off center I order that being an issue in itself. Outdated design.

I've tried several that claim to be universal, but they did not work with my 2009 Toyota Matrix vents. The only one that ever worked was the kind that scratch the heck out of the vent when the metal prongs wear through the rubber cover. This one is too heavy to use on the center slat, but it does work on the bottom slat. The phone clip is also just deep enough to hold my Samsung S10e in its case when I take it out of the magnetic wallet I use. It's an added bonus that it comes with two of them, so I can have one to use in rental cars on vacation.
