It does a great job side to side but there is no way to adjust the height once it is on the wall. My husband placed it on the wall, by my instructions, and it was too low. Then we went to the area he thought it might work and minimize the holes in the wall. The monitor was too high then. I choose to leave it like this rather than have eight sets of holes or more in the wall. For now it tends to lean down. Adjusting it on the pivot is not as easy as I had envisioned. I hold my breath hoping that it will stay in the position I want it in. This is the first day I have used it maybe there is a learning curve, however, the next time I order a device like this I will be sure it has the feature that I can slide it up and down as well as the pivot left to right. It looked cool in the ad and it is over al pleasing to look at but it didn't quite meet my expectations as far as versatility. Like I said this may be partly user. My husband did also comment on the fickle nature of the screen staying in a good spot once it was swiveled. Have to start over from scratch and keep making small adjustments until it stays put some where acceptable, not necessarily where you want it but close enough for horse shoes and hand grenades. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Value *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2011* I have a 19" Monitor that had a base taking up all of my desk space. I needed a wall mount to eliminate the stand and this one did the job fine. The price for similar items at Best Buy etc were well over $100, some as much as $200 so this one at under $30 was a great deal. It took me a couple of installation attempts only because I failed to read the instructions and made some incorrect assumptions, the first being what direction it mounts. Once I got that right I realized after I had it mounted that it wouldn't clear the top shelf of my desk. Anyway, spend plenty of time on the front side making sure you are mounting it correctly and that once mounted it is going to have the mobility and be in the location where you want it. Also, if you can find studs to mount against this is ideal. Otherwise, definately use toggle bolts going into sheet rock. A lot of weight.The only negative here, as described in other posts is that the mount has a hard time staying in place with the tilt and the weight. It seems like everytime you adjust the tilt it loosens the tighteining mechanism just enough where it won't hold. For me, I just determined what the tilt I wanted was going to be and found a little piece of plastic to put in the arm so it stayed in one place. I would not recommend this for a TV over 20", but for my purposes and the price, it was a great buy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mounting mistakes *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2011* This unit is sturdy and fairly easy to install. The phillips head mounting screws, for the base, were of a low grade material. I snapped one off, in the wall, while screwing it into a wooden 2x4, the others mushroomed their heads while trying to install them. I had pre-drilled the holes, as instructed. A short trip to the hardware store to replace all four screws, solved the problem. I lubricated the lag screws, that I bought to replaced the screws supplied, and had no further problems, with the installation. I would have liked one more adjustment for elevation. My 24" monitor seems to droop a little, when extended. It was difficult to line up with my other monitor sitting on a desk. I used a electronic stud finder, and a laser lever to obtain the proper height, but am still off by a half inch. Probably my fault, but something to consider. Using it for a single tv or monitor, should not be a problem.
