It's so cool we're afraid to play with it too much. Great product.

It was trash before my son could even play with it. One of the tracks is frozen so it doesn’t move forward or backwards. It does swivel and the bucket goes up and down but for what I paid for it, I had hoped it would work completely. Unfortunately I burned boxes this morning before I tracked down batteries for the remote (the remote requires batteries that aren’t included). So now my son has a brand new excavator that is trash because it doesn’t work. It’s disappointing.

We find that we have to recharge these batteries after less than an hour of play. Fortunately, they send two sets of rechargeable batteries so as long as we've remembered to plug in the unused set, we can quickly change them out and get back to play. The device is very easy to operate for my almost 4-year-old. My 18mon old even figured it out. They haven't been particularly gentle with it so I am impressed with the durability so far. I do with the batteries lasted at least a couple of hours and that they could more easily be swapped out without the need to get out a screwdriver every time but we love the toy in our home and would recommend it to others!

First, my son loves it. Second, it comes with two battery packs so he can keep playing while one is charging. Third, it actually works. And then it quit, after about 2 months of heavy duty play. The remote wouldn't connect (light flashing on remote). Contacted the company about it, because it has really good reviews and I didn't expect this. They are replacing it!! I sent them a video and explained the problem, and done! New excavator on the way! What a great company to do business with!

This excavator was a gift for my 3-year-old son, who just LOVES construction vehicles. I was not disappointed when we received it: the plastic is durable, the remote control works well up to roughly 25 feet, and it came with two battery packs (I charge one while we're playing with the other.) Each battery lasts for around 20-30 minutes when in full use. It has been 4 months since I purchased this toy - the remote control batteries have not died yet, and the excavator is still in perfect condition. I highly recommend this toy if you are looking for a good RC excavator for a child.

I opened and set up this toy before giving it to my grandson, and I'm glad I did. The directions were confusing. The batteries in the excavator will be extremely hard to switch out. This will definitely need to be done by an adult. I don't yet know how long they will last. You get two rechargeable battery packs for the excavator, which is good, but I don't know how long they will hold a charge. I think you should not use this toy outside because dirt and sand may mess it up. It does work well on carpets. The box says for ages 6+ but I would recommend this toy for kids 4 and 5 years old, not older. Older kids would get bored with it. It doesn't actually scoop up very much. My grandson will like it, but it won't last that long because the screws to change the batteries will eventually get stripped, or the plug to attach them to the excavator or the charger will break. Did I mention it is very difficult to change the batteries?

I bought the excavator for my grandson who lives out of state. He played with it a little when he came to visit at Christmas and then it wasnt working quite right. I contacted customer service and they responded instantly and sent a replacement. I have never had such outstanding service. I will definately buy more toys from them as I know I can count on them to stand by their product which is rare in this day and age. Kudos!
