I am not sure which way round they are supposed to go. Also they do not feel like cotton- more like Lycra. They only sent me one colour bright blue. I got them up and over my backside without too much wriggling but they are very tight fitting. I am a size 14 and ordered an xtra large after reading other reviews but I would need at least an xxl. A size 14 is about a snug 8/10.
