Great tool - cuts line cleanly
These are good light-weight fishing pliers. They open split rings, have (narrow) gripping jaws, and cut line quickly and cleanly, including braid and low test mono. I bought a second plier for my son. This is not a hook removing tool, although you can use it for that in some situations.

Purchased it for my grandson! He uses it several times every time we go fishing! They are light, well made, perfect fit for his small hands!

Great For What They Are
So far so good with these little pliers. Gave them a try after losing yet another expensive pair. Nice and handy for cutting though useless for hook extraction. They will break if forced beyond it's means. Still, for $10, a good deal. The longer cutting blades seem to be holding up much longer than those zinc blades that quickly dull and are expensive to replace. I mean, why the heck should you have to replace blades on a $30 and up pair anyway?

420 Stainless steel
I just opened the package with the small plier. Supposed to be 420 stainless steel construction. Stuck a magnet to them and it stuck hard! Nice pliers but are NOT stainless steel. CORRECTION; 420 stainless steel is a type of stainless steel, However it is not what is considered rust/corrosion resistant as 302-304 etc. stainless steel. I am up starring 3 cause they are decent construction, I was unaware of such a wide variation of "stainless steels"

Well priced tool
Wee made fishing tool, priced much lower than many others. Have used extensively and shows no sign of wear. Rcommend.

Spring keeps coming out
Don't buy this. It's great except for the spring which keeps falling out. Nearly lost it about 3 times on one fishing trip. Plus when trying to return it's apparently ineligible for returns due to health and safety reasons apparently. Buyers beware. Now I'm stuck with a pair of pliers which will become absolutely useless once I lose the spring eventually.
