Great product, easy to install, instructions were thorough. Two things that were not clear were 1. When putting the two black tubes together, the PVC pipe insert has to go inside both tubes to hold them together. 2. I would start the first 5/16 drill hole 2 inches further back at 8 inches. So the first bracket mount isn't so close to the one end. 3. If u have a fenders like my trailer, the center hole for the bracket can be moved forward or rear off the wheel fender.. I only need one side to effectively raise the trailer gate with my foot. This product does exactly what it says. Oh, I was missing a few parts and reached out to the company buyers. The responded quickly and solved my issue very quickly. I am very satisfied with this purchase!!!

Had used trailer for a long time and gate felt like it was getting heavier over time. Or was I just getting older? Anyway, should have installed one long ago. This makes using trailer so much easier. Gate can be opened or closed with one hand. Really makes a big difference. Had seen some different designs on some trailers before but not had one of my own. Its worth the money 10 fold especially if your using trailer on a daily basis. Not to bad to install with basic tools.

Exactly as described, works fantastic for making the trailer gate easier to manage. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of the included hardware. The bolts that hold the clamps to attach the tube to the frame do not have enough threads on them, so I had to run to the hardware store to get bolts that had more threads. The 1/2" threaded eyebolts have the same issue, they will be loose if you do not either cut more threads or come up with something to make up for the threads not being long enough. Additionally, the carriage bolts to clamp the tube aren't long enough by a long shot. You will need at least 1-3/4" to 2" long bolts, but the included ones are about 1-1/4" and aren't even close to being usable. Also, in the instructions it states to make the first 5/16" hole 5" back from the 1/2" eye bolt. If you instead make it 6" the middle clamp will hold both halves of the tube better.

VERY simple to install and instructions are fairly intuitive. Takes some patience and the correct drill bits/drill. Works like a charm and has really saved my back. My only regret was not buying one sooner.

Watching the videos I saw people pick up their ramp with 2 fingers. Well, mine won't. But, I do have a 60" ramp and it is heavy. I installed as instructed and it does work great. The force needed to pickup my ramp is less that half of what it was. Maybe I needed two? It works, I like it, and I'm keeping it. I have it 4 stars because it was not a two finger pickup. Maybe I need to move the chain in one more link? Update: Moved the link in one more and it is even easier to lift. Still not two finger, but closer. Moved up to 5 Stars. If I need to move to the next link I will need to figure out how to pull the spring longer to get the slack needed to move to the next link. Not worrying about it. Like how easy it is now. Much better. Great product. I would suggest if you plan to get it, download the instructions and get NEW drill bits for the size needed (5/16" and 1/2" if I remember correctly). My trailer was pretty tough to drill with old bits. Had to look up the manufacturer's web site to download the instruction page.

Absolutely awesome. I had 2 of the low profile yellow gate lifts installed and the cable broke on one, so I decided to replace it with your style. Just my opinion but I found EZ gate assist lift easier to install. One thing that is a fact is that it does a much better job of handling the heavy gate on my utility trailer. I wasn't sure if I would need 2 of them.. fortunately I only needed 1. The cable and spring are more heavy duty than the other ones I had. Yes you will need shorter bolts if the sides on your utility trailer are flat stock and not round. I just ordered them when I ordered the lift. You won't be disappointed in this lift

Make sure everything is there....started installing and got to the bracket for the pulley wheels....and guess what, no bracket! the single most important part that I cant just go down and buy at the hardware store...(unlike all the bolts that they sent they do not work and I had to replace!). The clamps that were sent for the top are also the wrong size for the pipe (again another trip to hardware store....). So, now I sit here with holes drilled in my trailer eagerly awaiting a replacement kit, to get the bracket and finish the installation to see if this thing even really works. Very good idea and could possibly be a great design but this company has some very big quality issues that need to be resolved first.

This took perhaps two hours to install, but the directions were very simple to follow. The measurements provided were perfect for the spacing so pay attention to them and everything will fit as expected. The only thing that was not exact for me was the table provided to gauge the distance from the top of the tailgate for where to bore the mounted eyebolt; my tailgate was slightly larger or bigger depending on which number you looked at. The dimensions were not for my trailer, but I just did a splitting of the numbers that were not exact and the positioning worked out perfectly. When you see the table provided you will understand. I only used two holes to mount the cable guide at the end of the instructions, but it receives very little stress anyway and it would have required me to move the base retention brackets already installed. Just make sure the guide sits over your latch and disregard the last hole if it sits over the latch, it works fine without putting a bolt in it. This ensures that the cable will not rub on the bracket when the tailgate is lowered. If you did it correctly the chain and cable will be taut when in the raised position as mine was and it will not rattle in the wind when on the road. Measure, and keep everything centered when drilling the first four holes, and the tube will line up just fine. When installing the cable guide at the end, make sure it is centered also. Measure twice. The tailgate does lift easier, and that was the point.

pas capable de l installer manque tout le sac de pieces bolt roulette et fixation ok recu toutes les pieces manquante le tout est installer et fonctionne tres bien meme si 10 pouces de haut pour les cote et rampe a 44 pouces au lieu de percer a 15 pouces j ai percer a 11 pouces et tout est parfait je la leve avec 1 doigt
