jimmy reed blues play along
the book contains 8 jimmy reed songs along with a CD of backing tracks. maybe I did not read the description properly before purchasing the book but it did say....easy-to-read authentic lead sheets.....which I understood to be lead guitar riffs. this is not the case. I mainly bought the book to get the eddie taylor lead riffs for Honest I do but I was very disappointed, there are no Tabs for lead licks at all in the book, except for a few intro licks written in sheet music! the book would be good for singers who want good quality backing tracks.

Not What You Are Looking For
You want to play along with Jimmy Reed. This book won't get you there. You would be much better off watching instructional videos on YouTube. The authors managed to drain all the "blues" out of Jimmy Reed's songs, and just present the reader with chords and standard notation. That's not Jimmy Reed.

Probably not what you are looking for
Only good for rhythm nothing about techniques

If it'ds what you are looking for
This series is simply the best, indeed, only decent material for instruments in different keys when putting together a band. If you are looking for something just to teach you how to play Jimmy Reed guitar shuffles, however, forget it. Read the publisher's blurb.
