How long doe it take to heat up?

If you fill the vessel with hot water it will heat up fully in less than 5 min. otherwise it will take about 10 min. These food warmers are awesome, high quality, I have two.

How well would the unit travel for setup, feed, and leave type service at a meeting say?

It’s designed for restaurants , catering, warmer for food services,,I have been using this brand for more than 10 years!!

The 71001 Warmer is designed to hold heated prepared foods at temperatures above the HACCP "danger zone" of 140 deg F (60 deg C). Meets NSF4 Performance Standards for hot food holding equipment. It is not designed to cook food.
