... have been on a search for a pair of good fingernail clippers for over five years
I have been on a search for a pair of good fingernail clippers for over five years. I have bought cheap ones, I have bought expensive ones. All have been crap. And I mean absolute crap. These were recommended to me by a trusted source so I went ahead and ordered a pair. They just arrived this morning and I immediately opened them up and gave them a try. From the first clip, I knew these were the ones I have been looking for, for SO long. The nail cut smoothly and cleanly across. There was NO cracking of my fingernail at the terminus of the blades. The cut just ended and I made the second snip starting where the other left off. Again, no splitting, cracking or tearing. I never would have guessed that something as simple as a pair of nail clippers would bring me so much joy and happiness! lol ((And I received the 3013 model, unlike most of the people that gave these one star.)) Well worth the $5.40 I paid!!I do have one niggle... Since the pieces to the clippers aren't smooth, I can feel a slight grating when opening and closing them. Not enough to deduct a star though.

Does the job & no nail file needed
Let me preface by saying that this is the first "real" fingernail clipper I've ever purchased (I'm male btw). Before this, I've just been using random clippers usually found as part of some cheap multi pack so I don't have much to compare to.They are of solid quality, basically 1 piece metal for the main part and have a sharp edge. I guess I can see where other reviewers are complaining that they leave their nails with jagged edges but I'm not sure how others do it but I'm not a fan of using a nail filer. What I do is once I've circled around and cut the fingernail, I literally run the edge of the nail clipper around the freshly cut edge to make it nice- smooth- and uniform. It's been working great in doing this so I have to give it 5 stars

No more crazy long fingernails!!!
On my fifteenth birthday, long ago and far away, I resolved to stop chewing my nails. I've never chewed them since. Unfortunately, too many times my nails have grown to absurd lengths, mostly because clipping them was so tiresome. The clippers sold in drugstores are good for one or two times, then they are too dull to clip without effort. I have also found them challenging to control when clipping nails on my dominant hand because they are just plain hard to hold on to. After using the toenail clippers these guys make, which work amazingly well even on my thickest nails, I thought I try these. Holy crap, I wish I had these 20 years ago! They are perfect, or closer to perfect than I have seen before. I love these - my nails will never get crazy long again!

Nice, but not the same as my last set
Nice, but not the same as my last set. I had a set of small Tweezerman clippers that I used for many years and they were simply the best quality I could find even when comparing them to fancier ones. They were labelled as "surgical stainless" and had a more grey hue than regular stainless products. They were also smooth, without any ridges, grips or embellishments and polished to a near mirror finish. The Tweezerman name and lightning bolt like outline were laser etched into the handle. They cut amazingly well with zero snags and never seemed to dull. What I have described is the holy grail of hand nail clippers, yet I cant seem to find them anywhere; heck I don't even know where I got the last set that's how long I had them. When they vanished at a friends house, I began the hunt for a new set. These perform well, but are not as nice as my old set. This set is stainless, well constructed, has a bit of a satin finish and ridges on the lever, I guess for a better grip. While these provide a nice clean, effortless cut, they seem to leave a tiny bit of a "lip" at the edge of the cut. Maybe its my imagination and I'm just partial to my last set, but either way these are nice clippers and better than the crap store brand pair from a chain pharmacy I tried use. FYI, I received the correct, smaller hand nail clipper (3013-P); oddly enough, googling this model number displays the older version I used to own... Go figure... Bottom line: buy em, and happy clipping!

Really works!
After buying several from the drug store, all with minimal clipping ability, weak metal, not very sharp and just simply too expensive for not working, bought this item! Nice and sharp! Easy to hold and manipulate. I am happy. AND they will resharpen when needed! Only thing is the arms are a bit short making use tricky to hold them while manipulating.

Sadly, the quality is no longer there: avoid these
Update: Changing my review from 5 stars to 1. Unfortunately, these are not the quality Tweezerman fingernail clippers as I’ve owned in the past. These only lasted a couple of months before the post connecting both parts began regularly slipping out of place— causing the handle (and post itself) to separate and fall out from the main body of the clippers. Poor manufacturing and/or quality control? Perhaps the ‘good quality’ Tweezerman fingernail clippers I had years ago were just a random occurrence? All I know for certain is that you should save your money and AVOID THESE.But on a related note: Oddly, I have not experienced any issue with the Tweezerman TOENAIL clippers. At least, not yet. But after the reduced quality of the fingernail clippers, now I can’t help but wonder how long I have before the toenail clippers give out. Disappointed all around.

I don't see how I will break this one like I did the cheap brand
I am really surprised how high quality these clippers are! I'm so used to the cheap walmart brands that you can get for a dollar, but this is well worth the money! I broke my previous pair of cheap clippers and I don't see how I will ever break these. The Tweezerman is really thick steel and has a smooth surface. It feels great in the hand and super easy to use. I heard some people didn't get what was pictured but I received the product pictured.I highly recommend these. Quality over quantity for sure.

so I went on Amazon to look for a better quality nail clipper
My last nail clipper broke, so I went on Amazon to look for a better quality nail clipper, and this one stood out to me. I had never really thought about differences in nail clippers, but this one looks and feels like a better, sturdier clipper. I just finished using it again to trim my finger nails and it seems to have better cutting performance than other nail clippers I've used in the past. I would recommend to anyone looking to get a new nail clipper.

Solide !
