Would it work to keep liquids hot?

We've used it for hot water, but not other hot liquids. The hot water didn't stay boiling hot, but ieven after a few hours, it was REALLY warm and worked perfectly for putting hot cocoa packets into cups with it.

Can i order a lid for it with a drinking spout?

No. It doesn't have . I'm not very happy of this cooler because water doesn't come out in sufficient flow . It is just ok . Thanks
