I have a fountain pen addiction and TWSBI are as high-quality as any of them. Including much more expensive pens. I bought the Burgundy Classic but somehow this listing is showing the blue as I write this review. The styling and finish on this pen are excellent. Everything comes out of the new style of smoked-plastic box looking perfectly assembled and beautiful. The TWSBI wrench and a small bottle of silicone grease are included for working on your pen. The EF nib was good but I there are few nibs I can't make better with a 12000 grit micro mesh pad and after a little smoothing this nib is EXCELLENT! I love the new pen and have been writing random jibberish on everything I find. I have been carrying it out and about, clipped to my t-shirt collar, looking for excuses to use it. "Here is a pen, Sir.", "Oh, I already have one and I don't defile my hands by touching rollerballs." Ok, so maybe I don't say that but you are looking at this review so you get it, I know you do. Read on to learn what NOT to do with your TWSBI pen!This is my 4th TWSBI pen and I briefly thought it was the first disappointment. I flushed it with water and inked it up and it leaked inside the cap! I thought I had left too much air in the ink reservoir and it had expanded when I had it clipped on my t-shirt collar, up against my skin.I bled all the air out and re-inked it, removing all the air bubbles. It leaked again!! I was distraught! I completely disassembled the pen and cleaned it. Using liberal amounts of silicone grease, I reassembled the pen. I put each part together very tightly, torquing down as much as I dared without damaging anything. I now cannot get it to leak if I try. I was even tapping it, nib down, on my desk and it didn't leak at all.I now suspect this was all my fault. I had accidentally removed the nib/section unit after I had inked the pen. On a TWSBI they come off as one unit. Just out of habit I had twisted the barrel like you would on a converter/cartridge pen. I think when I did this, ink got under the section piece and leaked out the seams. If I had been smart enough to clean the nib and section unit before I reinstalled it, I am sure this would not have happened. So don't be dumb like me!I am VERY happy with my purchase and shipping was fast (2-days) with Amazon Prime membership. ### ⭐⭐ Good until it wasn't *by U***1 on April 12, 2024* A nice pen that writes well, good ink filling mechanism. However, it started to leak ink at the reservoir right where I hold it within 6 weeks of use. Although it works well otherwise, I'm always wearing my ink.
