Before I gifted this item to a loved one, I tried it out for myself. From that experience I can say that I was quite impressed. The size was a bit bigger than I expected, meaning that the kettle could hold a LOT of water. Additionally, the whistle was LOUD. I was able to hear it from two completely different floors (upstairs and the basement). Honestly, I was initally a little worried that my neighbors might be bothered by it, but they confirmed that they were unable to hear it thankfully. Overall, as long as the correct amount of water is added - it should work perfectly.

I’m really happy with this kettle! It looks beautiful and feels well made. It heats up quickly, and the whistle is loud enough to hear without being annoying. I also love the white and gold design. it looks really nice in my kitchen. So far, it works perfectly and I’m very happy with my purchase. Definitely recommend!

By far the best kettle I’ve ever owned and/or used. It fits perfectly in my hand, it has a heat resistant handle and the top of lid is also heat resistant. It’s lightweight, yet feels substantial, high-end and elegant. The food safe stainless steel is a must! I wanted one that looked more mid-century modern aesthetic and not too much utilitarian or country farm house. I chose the black to best fit in my preferred style, as my kitchen has a white back splash, white quartz countertops and gray cabinetry. I’ve had a stainless steel one in the past & found it nearly impossible to stay clean-looking, as I prefer to keep it out on the stove. I cook twice daily on the stove, so was hoping the black “not-shiny” finish would stay clean…& it does! Very pleasantly surprised and happy I chose this particular one and in this color! Also, some reviewers stated it takes several mins to heat up, but mine heated up in about one minute. Maybe due to I have gas heat. The whistle was loud, but not over-powering loud. My fave thing about it is the way it feels in my hands, the weight, stainless steel food grade, the no-heat handles and lid, the best part is the way it looks on the stove!

Looks nice, polished SS exterior, light weight product (not a positive attribute) vs similar SS kettles we have had, hence longevity is questionable at this time, we will update post some prolonged usage. The handle gets very hot and one needs to use a mitt to avoid burns, the mitt provided with the unit is not practical to use and indication that OEM is well aware of the hot surface problem. Updating review after few months of daily usage, as mentioned before the handle gets very hot and its a significant concern. the heat transfer rate from stove to kettle is also sub-par, it takes much longer to boil the water compared to another SS kettle we had before this one

Teakettle is very nice and works great but the lid seems from another material because if you don't keep it dry it become rusty. It hasn't been a full month and I wish I didn't throw the box away.

I was amased at the quality of this kettle! It is gorgeous; a beautiful colour, quite heavy and very good quallity. The bottom is a triple layer of stainless steel, so it holds up to heat. It works well; stays shiny, washes well and is easy to clean. It looks very good w/ any decor and it's a pretty colour. For about $80., which is mid price for a good tea kettle, you can't go wrong. No need to spend over $100. for a good stove top like this. We're British and love our tea. We don't use electric kettles or microwaves to make tea! This one is perfect!! Our last one got chipped after 5 years, so gave it away.
