This blimp is a really well made, quality product that should last for years. The mic's shock mounts are well made and can be re-positioned depending on the length of the mic. I use both a Sennheiser MKE 600 and an Audio Technica AT875R, so that feature is really useful. The built-in XLR cable means I don't have to work around the mounting handle with a cable I provide. The hand grip is solid and mounts to a boom easily. Given that I sometimes use both mics, and I have another blimp that is NOT a MOVO BWS1000, I kinda wish now I had 2 MOVOs. Five Stars.

Solid build quality. It has everything you need from microphone blimp. It has ergonomic handle, easy to open cage with sliding option to properly adjust for different size microphones and nice vibration reduction mount. attached cable looks good enough. It is lightweight so i assume it can be attached to most booms, even cheap Chinese ones should work.. I tested it with ME66 and it works well. Price-wise it is good starting option for sound artists. The supplied dead cat works well too. Good product.

In addition to the impressive quality of the blimp, the quality of customer service is equally if not more impressive. Seven months after purchasing my blimp, a zipper broke loose on the deadcat. I wrote to customer service to see if I could have it replaced or if I could just buy a new one. They got back to me within hours, and had a replacement in the mail to me the same day of my initial question. I am now officially a hard core Movo fan and will definitely look to them first for any new gear purchases.

I was debating between this and the more expensive rode version. I chose this mainly on affordability. After receiving it and testing it, here are my thoughts. If you are a busy commercial videographer and are loading and unloading gear each day, this is not going to be a good fit for you. The construction is plastic as well as the fittings. I can easily see that the fittings could wear out quickly if overtightened or used daily. That being said, if you are meticulous about your gear and baby it as do I, it will work for you. I don’t have daily gigs and I use mainly in studio or light outside work for interviews. I will post more after I use for a while, but I like the quality for the price I paid and I think it will suit me fine. I gave four stars simply based on the plastic construction and fittings.

Great quality, easy to use, nice handle with 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch threaded mount adapter. Nice dead cat cover, nice nylon carry bag. Extra rubber mounting strips. 3 mounts that are very fast and strong. Quick rail slide for balance adjustments. Sounds Great! Chased motorcycles at 50 mph and no wind noise. Definitely the best value for any money.

The blimp are AWESOME!!! Yes, the cable of the handle, are not the best idea for this, BUT the rest of the product is AMAZING, nice materials, Great construction, in comparison with industry standards, THIS ONE ROCKS!!!

Exactly what I needed! Build quality is solid and is perfect for budget level film making!

I love my Movo Blimp. This thing kills wind very well. I shot a short movie at the beach without it and it was so windy that the dialogue was unrecoverable. I wound up having to do a lot of ADR. After just one windy day of testing, I know I'll get cleaner audio next time. I tested the mic alone and got awful noises, then just with the blimp alone without the "dead wombat" or whatever you call it, and it cut out a lot! Add the "dead wombat" and it was even better! The one thing i don't like about it is the integrated xlr cable. It works fine for now, I just wish it was easily removed and replaced. If it fails in the future, i'll probably just cut it off instead of trying to fix it. Otherwise, fantastic suspension, noise reduction, and awesome price!

Alles wie beschrieben! Solide Verpackung und schneller Versand. Die Qualität ist solide. Was ich ganz besonders gut finde ist die Breite der Schiene: Es ist so breit wie ein international genormter Blitzschuh. Dadurch kann ich ein paar 3/8" Schrauben mit einem Blitzschuhfuß darauf befestigen, anstatt der elastischen Halterungen. GANZ GROSSES Damentennis! Ein bißchen stören ist das XLR Kabel. Man kann es nicht demontieren. Was ein ECHTES Problem ist. Vor allem, wenn man wie ich ein 4er MC Kabel verwendet, weil ich eben nicht "nur" ein Richtrohrmikrofon verwende. Wahrscheinlich werde ich es einfach abschneiden, denn es stört mich massivst. Ansonsten ist der Windschutz wirklich gut. Ein Test bei größeren Windstärken steht, mangels Wind, noch aus. Aber die bisherigen Winde haben keine Störgeräusche verursacht. Ich bin insgesamt zufrieden, bis auf das dämliche Kabel.

Excellent! Good quality, feel, sturdy Ness, and sound. The cover(s) definitely dampen the sound a little but it actually sounds right. It's not a bad sound. This blimp is big enough to also use two smaller mics in a stereo pattern if done right. I also did an nt1 facing up and another small mic facing one another to do a mid/side stereo outside. It took some fenagalling using the rubber bands with the mic holders I have. This thing is great and totally worth the cost. I will do a review on YouTube on this thing because it works so well.
