Outstanding!
This has to be my favorite series ever. The love story of Cassidy and Julia just keeps getting better and better. Both ladies are so realistic that I feel I know them in person, in real life! This is all due to the wonderful way with words that this author projects. This story has all I could want---mystery, some drama, some angst and a really feel good love story. There are some twists that I honestly didn't see coming and it had me gasping just a little bit. All in all it's a really, really good book. The only problem I have is that there will now be another wait until the next one is out. Darn it!!!!! Many thanks to Eliza Lentzski for such a powerful book. You did good!

Saving the best for last!!
I am not into series because usually the first one is great and it’s just down from there. But it is quite the opposite with this one because it’s been getting better and better with each addition. The characters are developing and evolving but still the one we fell for on book one (Don’t call me Hero) the relationship between them is always steamy but so believable. And the story has been thickening and growing. I just finished 4 and I’m anxiously waiting for the next one!!

Enjoyable read
I've really enjoyed this author and how this storyline has developed. Cassidy unfortunately really grated on my nerves more than usual during this story. She's a grown woman that is so immature and unable to function without temper tantrums... for some reason it was really exhausting for me. I know this story has great depth and I did enjoy it... And I know that I will continue to enjoy this author!!

I’m in love!
Or lust, maybe. Julia. Julia. Julia. PLEASE send me a Julia. That would just make my life perfect. No? Well, fine then. I guess I’ll just read the next book (5).

Minneapolis Miracle
My deepest apologies, but any book that starts out with the Minneapolis Miracle gets an automatic 5 stars! I too have become used to heartbreak from my beloved Vikings, and knew every game/play referenced, but I will never give up hope. It didn’t matter they lost the next game, I will never ever forget that final play. Although my post game wrap up was apparently not as fun as Cassidy’s.;) SKOL VIKINGS!!!Okay, now back to the book. What is the deal with jello with shredded carrots and the Midwest? That brought back memories because I think the only times ever saw that was in Minnesota when I was there for my summers growing up. Eliza is one of the few authors I will drop everything to read. The relationship between Cassidy and Julia has always been complicated to me, but it works for them. Two very strong women. Two very different personalities. Two passionate women in different ways. Two women I love to read about. This one ends with a big mystery and I can’t wait for the next, but I know I’ll have too. If you haven’t read the other books in the series you’re missing out and you need to start from the beginning.

Secrets
The 4th book in the series of 5. Eliza Lentzski continues the story line with the main characters. A must read in order. Eliza's writing draws you in making it hard to put the book down.

This book should come with warnings! It may cause insomnia!
When you spend all night reading a novel because you can’t put it down. You know you got a good one...Book 4 in this series doesn’t disappoint. Eliza Lentzski does a wonderful job developing these two main characters and the story flows wonderfully. You can’t help but feel for these characters and what these two go threw together and independently as there relationship grows. I look forward to reading more in regards to this series and can’t wait for the next installment. 5⭐️

Healing takes time
Book four of the Don’t Call Me Hero series allows the reader to finally read of the healing of ex Marine Cassidy Wills as she moves through the investigation and resultion of another Cold Case File. In previous books of this series it appears that the course and resultion Detective Wills PTSD is tied to the development of her intimacy with the MC Julia but I feel it resolves itself as she continues to solve the Cold Case Files she is challenged with in her work. Regardless this series is well written and worth the reader’s time. The author writes one heck of a sex scene which while I find highly entertaining does not take away from the progress of the storyline. I give this book 5 stars and look forward to a continuation of this series.

Keeps getting better
This was so worth the wait. Gutted I read it in a day. But will re-read it again. The dynamics between Julia and Cassidy is amazing, they are both so funny and work so well together. Opposite definitely attract. You can feel the love between them pouring through the words of the books. There is a few steamy moments and not for the faint hearted but work so well with both characters. Their professional careers take a bit of a toll on them but each one knows where they can land. Cant wait for the next installment (hopefully soon)

4 Stars
Lots of couple milestones being tackled in book 4. The neediness of Cassidy grates a bit on my senses I guess because I identify with Julia more in dealing with relationships. This series is like junk food though, I can’t stop myself! It doesn’t help that the endings are always a cliffhanger.
