I work in a shop and we do a lot of laminating. This works well to protect the thumb and pointer finger when filing edges and corners, especially if the edges are sharper then 90 degrees. Laminate can be sharp as a knife so this does the trick in keeping the fingers from getting cut up. Some of the other guys don’t like it but I find it helps- it’s all personal preference. I bend the finger when applying as the finger fattens up and that way when I relax the finger the tape isn’t as constricting. The tape stays on and is durable. Better than a glove in this application as it leaves the other fingers able to feel what your doing. This is a knit tape, I use it over my fingers of cut resistant gloves & my thumb guard. This tape works well, you need a couple layers. It does cut, I’m a wood carver and it helps keep my gloves protected to last longer. Wood carving tools are extremely sharp even when dulled from craving. This tape is amazing if you understand it’s a tool to prevent cuts but will not stop completely.
