I plane to add nuts; pistachio, sunflower, almonds and others and make a mix for snacking. I was worried with some of the reviews saying the fruit had no taste. Maybe the company made some changes, because we could tell the different flavors. They aren't strong, but I have yet to taste dried fruit, except pineapple, to have a strong flavor. With pineapple and the cantaloupe both being yellow it was hard to tell them apart in some pieces. So, that required a taste test (such a trial). Hubby took the pieces we thought was the cantaloupe and he said, yep, he could tell the difference between the two. It is a bit too sweet, but that just means we will eat less of it and add in some other items to the mixture, which will still have a healthy snack. I've never eaten star fruit so I was interested in getting an idea of how it would taste. It was okay -- maybe the fresh would taste better -- but all the other fruits are delicious. I plan to make up some individual packets with the sealer and have them for a handy treat when we drive to see the grandkids. My opinion, if you like dried fruit and don't mind it being a bit too sweet, buy some; I will definitely be ordering more later on.
