Who'da thunk it? **Q: Hello. I use a standing desk. Can I use this product to hang the guitar, as opposed to the bottom of the guitar touching the floor?** A: The product has to latch on to something. In my case it is the edge of a table which protrudes beyond feet of table. The bottom of the guitar doesn't have to be on the floor but I consider this a somewhat dangerous practice. It might be easy for the guitar to slip and fall. You can buy it and try it, wriggle the head of the guitar inside the 'latching fingers' and see if it is secure. **Q: Just turn your guitar around and rest its strings (the fretboard side) against a table, so the back is facing you, but it works well without this thing. No?** A: I would not face the fretboard inward. This keeps the guitar upright, but you have to be careful not to leave it where someone might trip over the guitar. A handy little device. Beats carrying around a stand. **Q: Can the "Dock" version be left permanently off a shelf? Trying not to drill holes in a wall right which is why I'm looking at this.** A: If I understand the question correctly, yes!
