It works. Buy it.
I've been using a high grade wood/furnature rejuvenator on my fretboards for years, it's worked great even though it wasnt designed for wooden instruments but I recently bought a new guitar and the fretboard was really dry. The wood rejuvenator just wasn't getting into the wood like it should (it was failing to reach a lot of small, fine wood grains that stood out due to the dryness) so I went online looking for something with a lighter viscosity and yes, meant for guitars. I settled on this product based on the reviews (i did not care about the price) and it worked GREAT. It rehydrated the wood quickly and very well (i had to rub it in with my finger at a few really dry spots, but it worked nicely) and the color is now rich and saturated. The smell is very mild, and i mean VERY mild and clean up was easy. I liked that you only need to let the oil sit for a few minutes for very dry or dirty fretboards. Usually I let an oil sit for 10 to 15 mins but this product worked perfectly as directed. I ended up doing both of my guitars and the results made me a life time customer. I highly recommend it.

Good Quality
I bought this because it has a great reputation. Initial application to the rosewood* fretboard on an Ibanez SR805 went on a well enough. Looking good so far. I used this as a conditioner only on this first try, my fretboard was already clean. I will test its cleaning abilities on another guitar later and report the results. *Note the instructions state not to use this on a maple fretboard.

Fret boards never looked or felt so good!!!
At first, especially after receiving the bottle and realizing how small it was, I felt like it was kind of over priced. However, that all changed. I read the instructions, but then thought I'd find and watch some videos of people using it to get a better idea of how to do it properly. It became apparent very quickly that the amount needed to oil an entire fret board is so little that this little bottle will likely last years, even with a small collection of guitars to maintain. And wow! This stuff is awesome!!! I've done two guitars so far, both of which likely have never had their fret boards oiled, and the difference is dramatic. Not only does it make the fret board look absolutely beautiful (the natural wood never looked so good) but it really increases play-ability and smoothness on the neck. I felt like my fingers were gliding around the neck, such a wonderful smooth feeling. I waited until the next day (maybe 12-15 hours) after cleaning before putting strings back on and playing. There was no oily residue or anything like that, as the wood seems to really absorb it nicely. Days later they look and play just as amazingly. I considered doing another round of oiling them since the wood was somewhat old and never been serviced like this, but so far it doesn't seem necessary. I do advise that you use a damp (just barely damp, not wet) cloth to clean off visible gunk from the fret board before oiling. It doesn't really matter I'm sure, but just felt like a better process (on my 2nd guitar) to wipe off gunk first, then oil so it just looks absolutely beautiful when it's done :-) I highly recommend this product to anyone who owns a guitar (with a non-gloss neck - has to be natural wood). This will be a standard part of my guitar tune-up a couple times a year, at least. Love it!

EFFECTIVE
This is an excellent product that I use on the fretboards of all my guitars - electric and various acoustics. It returns the board to a healthy condition and is very easy to apply. NOTE: I had asked whether or not this could be used on a violin. Most said yes, with some saying if the finger board was not sealed/coated. MusicNomad replied to me directly, saying about the same thing. One fellow said that he did not think so as most violins are coated. Before receiving the last fellow's note and thinking that the fingerboard looked like a dark wood, I applied the oil. It did not (seep) into the "wood". So I wiped it off. The white cloth I used was slightly darkened, but that could have been dirt on the fingerboard. There was no discoloration or damage done at first look. Closer inspection of the instrument showed that the fingerboard was dark and looked a bit like a graphite. Bottom line, everyone was correct in that it was "yes", you could use it on a violin, with caveate. The last fellow to respond to my question was most right. No. Still an exceptional product which I will continue to use on all of my "guitars". Love it.
