First two feedbacks indicate use for 20-25 lb dogs. Are they referencing this product for 15-17 lbs?

I have a shih tzu that weighs about 12-13lbs. I would not go any smaller for her. Honestly, any heavier like 20+lbs would be very hard to handle in this carrier, IMO

How do you do the adjustable strap so it doesn't slide?

Feed the strap back through the other side of the slide---or put a safety pin in the strap to hold it in place.

What type of closure does it have if any‽

No closure. It’s like a pouch. There is a clip to clip to your pet’s collar.

I don't know if technically it is washable but I have cleaned mine twice on the gentle cycle and had no issues.
