does this melt on surface if direct sun for days?

I think it would deteriorate very quickly in direct sun. It would get brittle & just test up, the film is very thin.

Is this film one way? I cannot see out...can the painters see in?

I don’t think so. I used a lot of this product to tape off my kitchen cabinets prior to floor refinishing. Think blue dry cleaning bag. I would call it transparent. If you couldn’t see through it, are you sure you unfolded it 100% ?

Is this film a polyester film? What type of plastic is it?

Overall Thickness .....no other composite specs listed....contact 3M for specific secret recipe...lol 0.35 mil

What size blade Is required for this roll?

The device comes with a cutting blade for both the tape and the paper. I've used 9" paper with decent results. The device is a little weak, and the tape tends to stray off the paper if you're not careful. I would buy the larger more sturdy model if I we you..
