Organic Tamanu Butter 8 oz by Oslove Organics - Natural acne fighter and best Body/Hair moisturizer from nature

I love this butter! I've been looking for lighter butters to make homemade body butters with since Shea butter is too heavy and greasy for me. I bought this in addition to Mango butter and I love them both! They are very malleable, on the softer side and melt "like butter" into my skin. I can't wait to whip up a batch of body butter with this! Just an FYI: If you live in a warmer climate (especially during the summer months) be aware that this will probably come melted and seeping out from the plastic inside the package. Here in California we have been having weeks of triple digits, and my butter arrived leaking out of the plastic bag inside the package (thankfully didn't escape outside the brown packaging). I'm not sure how much product I lost through leakage as I don't own a scale, but this is NO fault of the seller. They took care in trying to prevent leakage by sealing with two plastic baggies instead of one, but you can't win against 110 degree weather! I put the whole thing in the refrigerator as soon as it came and it firmed up nicely.

This butter is extremely soft. It made my homemade body butter more pliable during these winter months. I used this instead of Shea butter & it make warming it up in your hands much easier. It doesn't have a smell & when mixed with coco butter it gives a nice aroma that's not strong or have the earthy smell that some butters do. I will admit it's pricy so use sparingly, but the benefits are great!

Tamanu Butter is SOOOOOOOO incredibly SOFT AND MOISTURIZING!!! I had never heard of it until I started researching and making my own hair and skin products. This was an EXCELLENT suggestion for an ingredient in making hand cream. It truly is naturally moisturizing. Oslgove Organics does an EXCELLENT job at properly packaging natural ingredients and products!

Wasn't sure at first because it was grainy but then read in description that can happen in winter and to just melt it down and once it solidifies again it will be nice and smooth. That indeed was the case. Since then I love it. And I have tried many different butters including shea, mango, cocoa, kokum, Capuacu and out of all it's my favorite. So good for my skin. never want to be without!

Melts readily and provides an excellent barrier to compromised skin and helps reduce scars. Also mixes well with essential oils such as Frankincense and Helichrysum. I like mix a few drops of the Helichrysum and apply right after my shower to wet skin. This also makes an excellent nighttime foot cream. Highly recommend!
