I purchased this thickness gauge to measure different types of paper and cardstock, and it has exceeded my expectations.It comes with the battery already installed and even includes a spare battery, which was a nice bonus. The display is large, easy to read, and the measurements are quick and consistent.I tested it by measuring a single sheet and then folding the same sheet multiple times to compare the readings. The results remained very consistent, with only the tiny rounding differences you would normally expect when measuring compressed paper.The gauge feels solid, well-built, and very easy to operate. It has already become one of my favorite tools for checking paper, cardstock, vinyl, labels, and other thin materials.If you need accurate thickness measurements for printing, crafting, packaging, or similar work, I highly recommend this gauge. Excellent value for the price.

This is a great little digital thickness gauge. It is precise enough for my needs. I use it to measure wire thickness on guitar string replacement projects. It is compact, sturdy and easy to use. It comes with a hard plastic cary case to protect it when not in use.

This is actually much higher quality than we expected. Very nice product for measuring paper and business card thickness.

The gauge was in perfect condition upon arrival. The battery inside worked perfectly well, plus there was a replacement battery that came with it. The gauge is very user friendly and easy to use.

I use this i conjunction with my Laser cutters to identify and accurate thickness. It's quick and accurate, which was confirmed using slip gauges.

It'll work for the price as a starter.There is a little play that I have a little concern with but accurate with my feeler gauge.I will buy a higher quality one once I get certified as a coating inspector.

This isn't great for large sheets to measure thickness due to the moment arm the test article would apply to the jaws, vs. a micrometer which can secure onto.But for small objects which fit nicely standalone hands-free it's quite good. $40 price makes it even better.My unscientific quick tests were showing accuracy to within a few tenths (+/- 0.0002") or so. Better than most standard calipers that read to 1/2 a tenth. Yes, the "readout" shows +/- 0.00005" but don't confuse that with accuracy. It takes that readout vs. the cheaper model at 0.0005" readout to demonstrate the accuracy I'm seeing.Plastic case is a bit cheap/wonky, but again $40. It's fine.
