I imagine a small person could mount it, a larger person may break it once the get on top of it. If you're not talking about mounting it like a horse, there are keyholes in the back to hang it up on screws.

Can I set multiple different timers for each socket? I.e. one for each appliance i want turned on at a different time?

No. 4 outlets work on a timer, the other 4 are live all the time. You can put a secondary timer in the always live outlet to run your light as a solution

can I set 10 hrs on and 14 off? just once?

Do you mean you set it once for that and it does it everyday? The answer is yes. Do you mean can you just set it for one day? You would have to change the setting after that one day because once you put in a setting (and whatever is plugged into that side) it keeps doing those times everyday. It's very easy to set!
