I am very careful about what goes on my children and what they consume as well. I try to be as nontoxic as possible while not being so crazy that my kids miss out! I let my daughter pick the colors she wanted and this color assortment was great because it gave her two pinks (one light and sparkly and one darker and more pigmented) while also allowing her to have some darker colors. The first time I painted her nails and toes, I followed the directions and dried them with a blow dryer for about a minute after application. Honestly, I was impressed with how long the paint stayed on. Was it up to standards for my own adult manicure? Absolutely not. Was I very satisfied for my 2 year old daughter and more importantly, was she happy? Absolutely yes. I believe the manicure stayed on for a week or two without it immediately coming off as some other reviewers have stated. Will this polish come off in the pool?** A: It all depends... :-) This polish comes off easily if not applied correctly. And it's also more likely to come off if you just put it on that day. The more days it's on the tougher it is to remove. That's why some people say, oh it came right off, and others say it lasts weeks, or you can't get it off! It gets more permanent the more it dries. So use the blow dryer as instructed and it'll last better. Also, unless you want it to stay forever, go ahead and remove it after a week. Otherwise it does get tough to remove. For reliable durability you need the base and top coat they sell. But I wouldn't use it on babies, it does smell slightly chemically.
