My dog is healing from a torn knee ligament and needed additional support. I love that they provide two braces (placed on both back legs to prevent additional strain placed on non-injured leg) and it worked beautifully. Expensive surgery is not in my budget, but affordable leg support braces combined with effective joint support supplements seems to be the more affordable solution to help my sweet pup be on the road to recovery. You have to make sure that braces are on firmly to avoid slippage, but not to tight to avoid discomfort. Be sure to measure to get correct size. I wish that it was slightly shorter b/c if it slips just a little it can press dog's upper side toe nail against skin. I have a large 70lb mixed breed and got the large size. The upper part of brace is slightly big, so will buy medium size to see if that solves problem.

It worked great. It fit him well and stabilized his leg better for walking while he healed.

My Shepherd has a infected hock on her hind leg. Had to put on tightly for it to stay in place. Hock was exposed so she was able to still lick it. This was recommended by her vet. I tried to put a bandage over it and then apply the brace. In my opinion. This wasn’t the product failing. This was just not the right thing for my poor dogs issue. If you’re dog is having stability problems. This is the product for you. Very good quality and will definitely help your dog. This was just not for the issue my dog has. Also I ordered 2 sizes in case one was to small. I need to return the smaller size one. I will definitely keep the large for her. It does come in handy when she shows signs of limping. It’s definitely a good buy for the right issue.

I was buying these as a quick replacement for another brand. I was hoping the longer brace would provide a little more stability. All the braces that are OTC require some modification. (Super frustrating!) These DEFINITELY run big. I have an 18# Shih-Tzu that normally fits an XS in the other braces I've purchased. I have several complaints and I fabricate splints for a profession.CONS:1. The rigidity is barely existent. I can easily bend them. On a scale of 0-10 with 10 being unbendable, I'd give these a 1. (Maybe a 3 for helping your dog go from a knee-bent position back to standing especially during peeing).2. There is no cut-out for the knee joint. If you are supposed to put the strapping in the front with the tiny contour that looks like it is supposed to be the cut-out for the knee, then the short Velcro strapping is going to rub your dog's skin raw. (My other braces have a cut-out for the knee to bend.)3. Professionally speaking, if this does fit your dog, MAKE SURE the Velcro is not touching your dog's skin or you will be spending more $$ on vet bills for the wound/hot spot that will occur with wearing these.4. These are advertised like a spring, but it feels like a typical plastic stay within the neoprene. I couldn't feel anything that felt like a spring.PROS:1. reflective tape on velcro.2. Soft Neoprene

These are working for my doberman.(105lbs tall) They might be a bit bigand slide down after a while. I ordered large, should've went with medium. Good product.

I've used these for years for dogs with hot spots, leg injuries, etc. The previous design was good, but they tended to slide down a bit during use. With this newest release the company has added an inner reinforcement which still allows for natural movement of the leg but will not slide down, so it stays in place and provides better support. Easy adjustment of the Velcro tabs insures that these can be comfortably by your best friend, with no rubs or pinching. A good product made better!

I was looking for a product for my girl since she's getting up there and showing signs of hip dysplasia. I tried these and they didn't allow much movement as I'd hoped and she just seemed very uncomfortable despite them fitting her well.

I wasn't sure that this wrap would work for my dog as he has a tender bulge at the hock. The metal strips are supple enough to conform to the bulge while still providing a little more support to the hock. The two middle straps are barely long enough to accommodate the added girth his particular bulge imposes. He seems a bit sensitive about putting his foot down when the wrap is first put on, but that goes away rather quickly after a few 100 yards on a walk. He accepts the wrap and doesn't pay any attention to it before or during the walk.
