It is long enough for leggings- I wish it was 1/2 inch longer, but it still works. It is soft. It is thin, but not too thin. I am a size 10-12 dress, a m or l shirt and I ordered large for this shirt. Fantastic. It was not too clinging at all. It draped nicely over my hips, so that if I wanted to wear this top with leggings it would be totally modest because my rear end would be covered. The front and the top are lower and then the cut at the hips is higher, so it creates a pretty flattering line, even if you have a tummy or a larger rear end. The top V-Cut is high enough that it does not show the camisole that wear underneath (I just happen to have some camisoles with a built in bra - the tops are not transparent at all). I purchased this top initially in white, and liked it so much I bought it in ever color offered. Overall the top is very feminine looking, which is nice because when you get into plus sizes sometimes the clothes are cut kind of boxy and the sleeves might go down to your elbows (or close to them) which is not a flattering look at all. Even though I'm very short, and thus have shorter arms, these sleeves hit right at the end of my bicep and have a nice little ribbing that is soft and doesn't pinch.Fabric? Well, it's knit, extremely soft, but obviously not 100% cotton because it really doesn't wrinkle - which is fantastic! I took it right out of the packaging and was able to put it on immediately. This top looks fabulous all the time. Perfect for packing on a trip because it rolls up really small, but again, it really doesn't wrinkle and it's as comfortable as pajamas but without being thin like some knit fabrics. Finally, because this fabric is thin, close knit so as not to be see through, but thin enough that it doesn't add bulk it's very easy to tuck this top into a skirt, which makes it look really smart. I paired it with a retro-A line pleated skirt with pockets. I received all kinds of compliments.
