I want to install lights into the model to give it an athentic night time look. What parts are opaque or see through?

I have an older version, are the windows cut out with clear plastic inserts?

Yes the windows are cut out with clear parts. Paint these parts back side with white and a hint of yellow for a lit up look.

Is this equal to the Revell 04801 that's selling for $150? I noticed that the dimensions (despite having the same *scale*) are different which is odd.

It’s the same one is a reissue so they of the original issue both are from the same molds of t(e monogram model Revell bought Monogram and reissued the 4801 they a little difference in details
