Magnetic Car Sunroof Sun Shade Breathable Mesh,Car roof Cover for Camping

I own a Honda Pilot and this mesh fits perfectly over my oversized sunroof. The magnetic strips that goes around the entire perimeter of the mesh are more than strong enough to keep the mesh down and keep mosquitoes, flies, gnats and bugs out. This breathable mesh for your car sunroof is actually the best that is on the market right now. It allows for great airflow, it is UV treated and keeps the sun out, and it is a must-have for anyone boon docking or camping in their car. We have a tent that fits on the back of our SUV that has an open mesh, but you have to have the sunroof open for good circulation so this mesh is perfect. Now for the ridiculous, can you drive on the freeway with this on your sunroof? No. This breathable mesh is for when you are parked. It is not permanently stuck to your car! Will this keep a mountain lion from getting into your car? No, nor raccoons. This sunshield/mesh is designed to keep bugs out, the sun out, and give you ventilation. Very impressed with the double and triple stitching that goes around the entire perimeter that holds the magnets in place. It does come with a very nice storage bag for it, and then the mesh folds up and fits back into nicely. Make sure that you measure your sunroof before ordering one because there are different sizes. I highly recommend this mesh not just for camping, but for many other things as well.

This magnetic car sunroof shade is very easy to put on and take off, and the magnets are strong. It fits my 2016 Honda Odyssey well. What I like most is how easy it is to fold and store away when not in use. It doesn't take up much space in the van, which is a big plus. It holds up well in strong winds, and the airflow still comes through just fine. I had been looking for something like this for quite some time, and I'm glad I finally found it. If you're looking for an easy-to-install sunroof shade that stores compactly and stays in place, this is a great option.

I have not used it wheel camping or tailgating or any of that sort, yet. So I can't provide feedback beyond just testing it for fit and size. But I can say that it covers our Toyota Sienna moon roof very well. I tested it both with the full moon roof opened, or just cracked the vent up. It's size it's more than enough to use it either way. The onjy thing I saw so far was that I will have to check not to leave any gaps between the magnets as insects will likely be able to get through those. I guess the solution would be to make sure the fabric is fully extended and to iverlap the magnets or use additional magnets in between the magnet bars it comes with. The mesh is a fabric like you would find in products for baby carriers and such. I was expecting a sturdier mesh for some reason, and not so much like a mesh fabric. But it should be able to do the job. I'd also say be careful with it. I didnt realize that I had a broken nail and the fabric got stuck in my fingernail, which can run the fabric and such accident could start leaving gaps in the fabric. Depending on the gap size, mosquitos could likely get in if big enough. Reminded me a bit of panty hose in that sense. I tested installing from the inside, not just the outside. I can see jyaelf forgetting to put it up before going to bed when car camping and I don't knoe about you but I would prefer not to have to get out of the car once I'm already in bed. It was easy to install from the inside, too. And it was also easy to remuve it from the inside, as well. I also tested it without installing completely on the outside but setting it between the frame and the windows. It can be done. I might end up doing that more than completely on the outside. I can also see myself using it likely with the moon roof cracked and not wide and fully opened. That's why I tested it with the vent cracked, which might work better than fully opened if drizzling or light rain. It comes with a bag. And it's very compact. It will likely stay in the car until the winter. Overall, I'm satisfied. I took a star out because the fabric in my opinion could be better.

This is great for car camping to get extra breeze but no bugs. I wouldn’t use this while actually driving my car. The magnets hold it in place but it would definitely fly off if I was driving. I purchased my own heavy duty magnets to make it a bit more secure but the ones it comes with work just fine. Folds up easily when not using. I use this on my Honda Passport and it’s plenty big enough.

Before rejecting this due to reviews, take note that many are rating it for not doing something it wasn't meant to do! I have NO EXPECTATION OF THIS STAYING ON THE CAR WHILE DRIVING AROUND. That is not the intended use. However, as a screen to keep bugs out when i'm car camping it looks like it will work perfectly! I have a RAV4 and found it fit with a couple extra inches all around. Since I will have a cargo box on the car I tested installing from inside the car up through the moonroof and got it mostly in place with little difficulty. I could then pull on the edges from the sides of the car to straighten and flatten it. This will not block out light and is pretty see through, but that is expected. NOTE: Some reviews mention the magnets sliding around within their sleeve. It appears the company responded to that and there is now some stitching to keep the magnets in place.

Zero stars. It flew off my car the first time I used it. Here are some other complaints. If any of you readers suffered property loss or physical medical loss, contact me. Magnets not being strong enough: Some users have found that the magnets aren't strong enough to hold the shade securely, particularly at higher speeds or in windy conditions. Magnets not being magnetic at all: In one instance, a customer reported that the magnets on their shade were completely non-magnetic and caused the shade to fall down easily. Shade detaching or falling down during driving: Users have reported the shades not staying on while driving at highway speeds or falling down when the rear windows are open. Shifting magnets: One user mentioned that the magnets shifted within their channels, making it difficult to properly place the shade. Magnets scratching the car paint: A user who had used magnetic sunshades on their windows for a short period reported that the magnets scratched the paint, potentially leading to rust.

Based on initial quality, and untested, the screen seems reasonable enough. However, the length is significantly longer than advertised, at 40.5 inches. The space I have (2022 Subaru Outback) requires no more than about 37.25 inches between the roof rails. So, it's either do an alteration or hope that bugs don't find their way through the uneven, bunched up folds. On the positive side: It does seem good for the price.

Great cover. Strong magnetic connection and allows you to open sun roof both ways tilted up or cracked open to let fresh air in and keep bugs out.
