Completely Different From Disney's The Lion King
Leo the Lion is a Jetlag Productions film. This was a straight-to-video movie released in 1994. Some may claim this film to be a copy or rip-off of Disney's, The Lion King but it's an entirely different story.Synopsis: This short-film is about a young cub and his mother. The cub's mother is captured by circus workers, leaving the young lion cub alone and without a name. He sets off on a journey to find a way to free his mother. The young cub later meets up with the self-centered king of the jungle, Leo. Leo and the young cub form a bond and become friends with the animals in the jungle. With their friendship, they can all help save the young cub's mother and the other jungle animals who have been captured. My Thoughts: Leo the Lion is probably one of my favorite films from Jetlag Productions. This was a childhood favorite of mine and I still love watching it today. Don't listen to the reviewers who gave this movie a 1 star rating. Give it a shot. I'm sure your kids will enjoy this movie as much as I did. :)
