Review: Koi fish Mah Jongg tile set with all you need to play American Mah Jongg - Lovely tiles and tile racks. The case is too heavy for me so I don't use it and have purchased separate quilted tote bag with tile bags and rack pouch, with separations to protect the wood racks. Getting the black plastic tips off so I could install the clear plastic pushers where were stored separately in the case on delivery was the only difficulty, but that was minor. My friends love the "swimming fish" on the tile backs. Seems to be well made. A lovely set.

Mission accomplished! The swimming koi on the backs of the tiles are very unique. I use a dark blue felt table cloth so they will look like they are swimming in water--it's a lovely effect. The tiles are very, very slightly shorter than the sets my friends have from the National Mahjong League and they are just a little tiny bit lighter. They still feel good in the hand and not in any way cheap. Naturally I dropped one on the tile floor where we were playing, but it stood up to the abuse very well. The designs on the tiles are bold and the blue color is especially very striking. The wooden case and racks are very well made as are the interior boxes. This product arrived promptly and was well packaged. I am truly pleased with it and look forward to many years of enjoyment with it.
