Good, regular pencils. Some color names aren't the same as on the box but aside from this its perfect.

Bland colours that look all the same, hard lead, don't spread evenly - DON'T BUY!!!
I was raised on Laurentian coloured pencils which had vibrant colours on paper and on wood. A few years back, I started doing drawings on wood. I still had my old coloured pencils lying around, so I used those. Of course, after a while, I had to look up new pencils and decided to purchase these since they are so popular and the reviews seemed to say they were pretty good for the price. BIG MISTAKE! Not only are the colours bland on paper but they are horrible on wood. The leads are so hard that they don't spread evenly and they have 4 different names for the same colour. The reds a pink, the black is grey, the greens and blues are basically the same colours... I'm disappointed. For a well-known brand, I expected something better.

Pencil Crayons in middle age, yep!
I have not used coloured pencils in 35+ years or so, so I went with good old reliable Crayola when I wasn’t crazy about markers I had been using (even though they’re Crayola too) in my adult colouring book as they bled through the paper, heavy art stock at that. Only thing missing is the pencil sharpener that used to be in/on a box corner once upon a time....or was that on my crayons? Lol I’m in severe pain most of winter and have limited mobility so I needed something to keep me occupied, and discovered that adult colouring books were good for calming, helped with stress management, and exercised creativity as well as helped pass some lockdown time. Great range of colour in this box of coloured pencils, pretty durable as I have yet to need to sharpen one or fix a broken lead. Feel like a kid again. Even got my mom colouring these days, must get back to my owl now.

Box of weak shades - nothing vibrant.
You'd think that a box of 100 pencil crayons would include BLACK. Not so, my friends. The entire box is pastels. Sooo many shades of teal/blue/cyan you'll get sick of this colour category. At least six shades of beige/taupe/sand. More pink/blush/coral than you've ever dreamed of. It looks like I got two trays of the same pastels, in a different order. But I'm not fooled. Nope. Not a deep, rich, vibrant colour in the whole box. I might return them. Who's ever returned a Crayola product?!

Good cheap pencils for school.
Great cheap pencils for back to school. They aren't rich colours but the leads are hard and fairly shatterproof. Comparable to the old laurentian pencils. These pencils can bump up against each other in a case. If they get lost no tears. $12 for 100 colours is a deal. The metallic shades aren't included in this set. Easy to sharpen too. Perfect for little kids. These pencils are not lightfast. They fade under glass.
