My 2 year old grandson (2 years, 3 months) loves painting in his book. I suggest using a “weighted” cup filled with water so the cup doesn’t tip over. Great activity to teach hand coordination for young children. .

My 4.5 yr old son loves painting with this book. Though for some reason he really loves putting "mud brown" on everything which doesn't always make for a "pretty" picture (to each his own). It can get a bit messy when set on a table, so I highly recommend laying some newspaper underneath to protect your table. My son does tend to use a bit too much water, but it definitely soaks through the page. We don't usually cut the paints off the top - I leave it all attached. My 2.5 yr old daughter does much better with just a regular paint with water book than with this one. This is great for quiet afternoon activities as well as taking on a trip for quiet things to do in a hotel room.

Kids loved doing this. The 6 and aboves found it easier and required less supervision. We just cut the pages out and then cut the paints to separate from the page. They had a brush, paints and page to color. I had extra brushes to use because there is only one brush per book. The 2, 3 and 4 year olds needed quite a bit of supervision but loved the process and their masterpieces. I was afraid it would be a little above them, but they loved the process. Will definitely order more of this style books for grandchildren.

My grandkids (3-5) used these daily for the two weeks I stayed with them. The water does drip but the colors disappear. Much better than usual paint with water stuff.

As a parent, I was excited to try this for my little one. The idea of mess-free painting sounded like a dream! However, the reality fell a bit short. The colors are not as vibrant as expected, and the water tends to leak through the pages, making it a bit messy. Despite these issues, my child still enjoys the activity, so I'll give it 3 stars for the concept and entertainment value.

With these you could give your kid the fun of painting but with a little less cleanup from you. Colors aren't the most vivid or strong but hopefully your kid doesn't mind.

I loved these kinds of books when I was a kid and I was so happy to find one to share with my granddaughter. At three, she's not quite an artist extraordinaire, but she does love seeing colors emerge as she puts water on the page with her "magic" brush!

This product makes it easier for toddlers to enjoy painting. The brush that comes with the book is thin. A bigger handled brush is easier for toddlers to use, but a thinner brush is needed for some painting areas. The colors are good as are the pictures for coloring.

I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Great product. Kids love the paint on every page.
