Incredible dehumidifier with incredible results!
The COLZER 140 Pint Dehumidifier was a purchase worth its weight in gold (and water collected)! I live 150 ft. from a large river and, consequently have continual moisture problems in my 1900 sq. ft. home. Because of this, mold would continually grow on interior wood, often requiring me to treat or replace various pieces of trim and furniture throughout my home. Needless to say, I needed a quality and commercial-strength dehumidifier, which I found in the COLZER 140!I set up the dehumidifier in my walkout basement, which directly faces the adjacent river and is the most moisture-prone area of my home. Once plumbed into my basement sump pump (necessary, unless you want to continually empty the water collection reservoir), the dehumidifier removed 3-4 GALLONS of water from the surrounding air EACH DAY ( volume initially recorded via the manual-emptying method). As a result of the installation, the air in my basement and 2nd / 3rd floor levels of my home are completely without moisture, and I no longer have any problems with mold, warped wood or any damp surfaces whatsoever.Extremely quiet, sleek and quality-built, the COLZER 140 has made me 100% confident and happy with my purchase and, consequently, I recommend COLZER dehumidifiers to all of my friends, as it's an investment that is worth it's weight in water collected for year upon years to come!Thank you, COLZER!!!

UPDATE
I live in Florida, and the windows in my condo are...not great. They leak horribly. Which means humidity inside is routinely over 60%, and sometimes as high as 80%. I had a normal dehumidifier, but it was hopelessly outmatched by the constant humidity. Even running all day, the most I could hope for was to bring the humidity down to the high 50s (if the starting point was 75-80% humidity, the most I could hope for was to bring it down to about 63%. Clearly not ideal). And it was incredibly loud, which most normal dehumidifiers are. This Colzer, though, is in a class all by itself.First, it is easily twice the size of my old one, which means more powerful and capable. It is also beautiful. The cabinet is tall, with rounded edges, and the controls are digital and easy to read and use. Only complaint there is the manual. It’s like it was made for smurfs. Could it have killed them to make it human sized? Not everyone has 20/20 vision...When operating, this thing is audible, but far quieter than my old one, to the point that I can actually watch tv with it running 5 feet away from my tv. Which is impressive. More impressive is that you can set the relative humidity target you desire for the room. When it reaches it, the dehumidifier goes into standby, and will only turn back in when humidity starts to climb. This means you can leave it on all day and night, and it will automatically shut off when the target humidity levels are reached. I also need to point out this thing is EFFECTIVE. Whereas my old Soleus dehumidifier struggled to keep humidity low and barely managed to reduce it by more that 15%, this bad boy got my condo from 74% to 50% in less than an hour, and it has maintained it there for the last 5 hours, even turning off occasionally for 10-20 minutes before needing to start back up. However in all that time, my humidity sensor in my house has remained rock steady at 50%, which is the maximum humidity I set up for my place. This thing, in other words, is outstandingly effective. The dehumidifier comes with a large receptacle that holds up to 2 gallons of water. It also has a tube you can connect to a drain plug to let the water drain that way. Just be aware that there is no pump involved in this, so the machine has several warning stickers indicating the drain tube has to be positioned just so, in order to ensure proper drainage using gravity. Which is true for most units in the market, so I’m not shocked. All in all, this is a fantastic unit. I have only had it for 2 days, but so far I am impressed of its capability, effectiveness and quiet operation.Update 10/2022After just 2 years, this thing has given up the ghost. Now it runs and runs but humidity stays high. It does not seem to be freezing, and I can’t tell if the drain is obstructed or not. I have emailed support but so far they have been no help. I am tremendously disappointed that a device this expensive will stop running after just 2 years.

Heavy duty dehumidifier
For some reason, my apartment has so much moisture in the summer and winter. Therefore, it is not surprising that my wood floor and things in my apartment will mold all the time which is really annoying and unhealthy. My friend told me to get a dehumidifier a try. Therefore, I need a heavy duty and powerful dehumidifier.I have to say, the COLZER dehumidifier is not cheap but it is totally worthy for me. I can see an obvious decrease in humility. There are two levels of speed and child lock. Setup and use are pretty self-explanatory. I don't even spend time to look at the manual. The dehumidifier is able to generate dry and hot air quickly. Level 1 does not make a loud noise and works fine for me.I recommend connecting the drain hose to a water outlet, so you don't have to manually drain the water tank because it fills up pretty quickly. There is nothing to install because there are only a drain hose and user manual in the box. In the end, I wish they come with a remote and maybe working with Alex. Overall, this is a giant and powerful dehumidifier which can fill the water tank pretty quickly.

Dehumidifier stopped working after 4 days and Colzer came through with a replacement
Ordered the 140 pint model on 11/25/22. After the unit arrived I unboxed nd plugged it in. it is a clean looking unit, easy to operate and it performed fantastic...for 4 days. Then I noticed it was running but was not removing any moisture. Figured I bought a poor unit and would lose all the money I paid. Contacted customer service via email. They responded promptly (next day). They had me try several things to reset the unit to get it working. On 12/10/22 Colzer determined the compressor had failed. They sent a replacement unit (at no cost to me). The new unit arrived 12/15/22. Could not be happier with Colzer Customer service. The unit has been working well since 12/15/22.

Exactly what I needed!
I had been using a 70 pint capacity unit in my basement after my 90 pint burned out. Both units ran constantly due to the 80 inches of rain in the last year. I finally realized I needed a higher output unit and even considered a commercial unit. I discovered the Colzer and decided to give it a try considering all the positive reviews. The first unit arrived but the stupid postal service had obviously dropped it and damaged the unit. Amazon sent out a replacement immediately without any fuss! The new unit arrived and I was shocked that it ran right away and within 2 days it had dropped the basement humidity to 45% from 58% and shut off. It now runs sporadically and keeps the basement around 45%. I have it on continuous draining by connecting it to the heat pumps condensation drainage pump (Little Giant). So it runs when needed, its extremely quiet, the controls are easy to understand and I have a DRY basement! I also took the 4 year warranty offered by Amazon. Highly recommended!2 mos. Update - the unit continues to keep my basement under 50% humidity in all weather. We had an inch of rain yesterday, 75 degree temperatures, the upstairs was 60% humidity and the basement was still 47%. Greta unit! Thank you Colzer!

Works as advertised.
Unique tower design that works as advertised to remove moisture from the air in an efficient manner. I like the bright easy to use touch control panel which is positioned on top just above the oscillating air vents. This unit houses a large water canister that is easy to remove for emptying. It's currently running in my finished recreation room downstairs but I've also used it in a back office room and over on the unfinished side of the basement. This is a large, well designed and made dehumidifier that works great and is fairly quiet. I'm very happy with my purchase and hope to get many years of service down the road.

Freezing up
Update after about 18 Months:The unit started freezing up. The coils looked clean, but I cleaned them anyway since I read this can be a problem. I’ll update this if I figure out what’s going on. My expectation is to get 3-5 years of reliable performance. This fell short. It did run well before this. It is supposed to auto defrost.Original review: This has been running daily for months. It keeps going. I’ve had the less expensive units from the big box stores wear out after some months, but this one has been very reliable. I think I’ve had it for a year. I’d buy it again. It’s in a 2400 sq. Ft. Basement that is finished except for the small mechanical closet where this sits. There is no door, so it gets plenty of air flow.

Died (repeatedly)
It worked quite well, briefly. Then it died after less than six months. Customer support were eager to replace the whole unit (although they naively presumed the compressor broke, which it did not). But the replacement they provided was an older, inferior model. Though it actually worked better than expected, so I chose to just live with it. But it died after a few months too.As best I can tell, both units died by freezing up, cracking their coils, and leaking out all their coolant (which is quite toxic, and a terrible greenhouse gas). This is a common failure mode for badly-designed dehumidifiers.
