Stainless Steel 316 Wide D Shackle

I needed a "D" ring because I wanted to replace broken downhaul pulley with D ring in order for loop-and-go rigging. The diagram showed the exact size which was important for me in order to pick out the right one out of all of those available. This one is the right size and likely strong enough for 300 lbs downhaul tension if necessary. Also the smooth surface reduces the friction with the line. A variation of this is sold as a windsurfing-specific part by a major sail maker for more than 3X the price. Just need to loc-tite it so it will not work loose with use.

Used for for my jib halyard deck pulley, so it gets lots of hard use. Seems like it is up to the task, at least so far. Feels like good quality, otherwise it would not be in such an important role in my yacht!

I needed to replace a horseshoe buckle on a leather satchel. This was the right size for my need and has been functioning well for a few months now under heavy daily use.

It's odd that Amazon asked about the thickness. No, it's not terribly thick, but what you in the picture see is what you get.

My Dog kept bending the d-ring on her one inch wide collar. If the d-ring was welded, it would hold just fine, but it wasn’t. That’s a shame on a good quality leather collar.Any how, this shackle is a great replacement.

Fit perfect for flying a burgee on the bow of my boat. Overkill for that purpose but wanted something better than a ty-wrap. Take measurements and get the size you need. Looks to be very good quality and finish.

A little smaller than i expected but the fit and finish is superb, will order a larger size
