Ravensburger Jaws Immersive Strategy Board Games for Adults and Kids Ages 12 Years Up - 2 to 4 Players

A thematic, co-operative, board game that is high in suspense and engaging to play. Once the rules are established, the game is easy to play. Act 1 and 2 both re-enact the film really well yet play really differently, this provides the feeling of playing two fun games in one. The event cards keep the game fresh and the accumilation of equipment items / shark abilities can adjust the liklihood of victory in favour of either side. There appears to be a fine balance between strategy and fortune which keeps the excitement levels high. I have both won and lost this game and on these occasions it was very close and extremely tense. I have played this game with board gamers and non-board gamers and both audiences thoroughly enjoyed the experience. If you love the film, then this is a reasonably priced and engaging recreation of the classic summer blockbuster film.

A brilliant game perfect for movie geeks, Jaws fans or those who enjoy playing cooperative strategy games. It's for 2 to 4 players - with one player assuming the role of the shark and the others adopting to roles of Brody, Hooper and Quint. Each character has a different set of skills and abilities meaning it's in the 'human' player's interest to work cooperatively to develop a strategy to defeat the shark. Played across 2 phases ("Amity Island" and "the Orca") with an option to only play a cut-down version of the Orca phase for a shorter, quicker game, the game combines turn-based play, cards and dice rolling in order to achieve objectives. The game itself is made of good quality materials - a nice thick card base board, wooden player 'meeples', thick card tokens and good quality glossy cards for the actions you play. Well worth getting if you like board games or are looking for something different to play during an evening in as the cooperative aspect makes it much more immersive than simple 'race to the finish' games.

Good game, brilliant that it has a video accompanying the instructions as it's a lot to take in. Shame how despite the skill required to navigate the first part of the game it still can come down to chance with a dice roll in act 2. Still decent despite this.

We are fans of the movie, so loved the board game. Like the way it plays in two ‘acts’. What happens in first type act of game then affects the second part.

This is a great game with basically two games in one. It's not the easiest family game to learn compared to some of the more simpler ones but it's not difficult to wrap your head around ,just had a few little fiddly edge cases on the second act. The game seems well balanced and having played about 6 or 7 times it's pretty even who wins and it nearly always comes down to the wire! Great fun and the theme and production really come through at this great price point as we got it on sale for 15 pounds absolute bargain!

I cant rate this game enough when it comes to quality, its very very good quality, the board is small but thick which is nice to see as I buy alot of board games that are very disappointing when it comes to quality, upon opening there are plenty of pieces and the instructions are very easy to follow, what makes this game even better is the fact that really its 2 games in one, there is side one and side 2 that affectively 2 games that can be played separately without playing the other, the gameplay is very fun and feels like a new fresh game other than a game that feels like other games in a different style, all round this game is a hit, great quality, great game, great value for money, looks expensive makes it also quite nice to gift

I only watched Jaws a few weeks ago for the first time, so it was fresh in my mind when we bought the game. I was impressed with its quality and attention to detail. Tie-in games are often disappointing, but Jaws is a lot of fun and great value for money. You either play as the shark or the crew (Hooper, Quint and Brody), and the two kinds of gameplay are completely different, meaning replay value is pretty high. Also, the game consists of two acts, also with completely different gameplay. We play it as a two-player game, but it would be just as good, if not better, if each crew member were played by another person. It could still work if you haven't seen the film, but it's so much better if you have. It has so many things from the film, from the "beach closed" sign to quotes on almost all the cards.

The game is great fun. But as soon as we opened it, we noticed the board map isn't glued down properly or doesn't fit when it was glued. Also the character boards are curled, looks like its been store in a cold room. If anyone plays MTG like the foiled cards are in that.

Really fun game, especially Act 1, that stays true to the film and made me want to watch it again! Great for Jaws fans but any board game enthusiast would like it.

Father in law loved receiving this game as a secret santa gift, though honestly we have not played it yet as it seems to take days to play it!! Best for families with lots of free time on their hands haha! XD

On the amazon page it is shown that all game is in English, with "Jaws" on the main page and all the picture shows cardboards with English on it, and in the description there is no specification in which language it is, so I expected it to be in English, but it came in German, very dissapointed.
