Are these ac fuses? can they be used in dc applications? 12v automobiles

They are AC fuses. To my knowledge they can be used in DC applications it's just that they are tested and certified to blow at 2A 250V. If you look at your blown fuse under a magnifying glass you should be able to see whats printed on there metal ends of the fuse...

Are these fuses suitable for a lights timer switch

Sorry, I’m not an electrician, but I suspect that as these are 2amp fast blow fuses, they are designed to protect circuit boards and electronics, so I doubt they would be suitable for mains lights timer switches. They are smaller glass fuses, not mains fuses. Best to check with a certified electrician

Good Value for Money

These 2a quick blow fuses arrived quickly. 10 in a packet which made for good value for money. First one worked fine when inserted into my Alpha C27 boiler. Saved a call out and working fine. Now have heating and hot water again.
