Could you do a watercolor under painting on this paper?

I’m not sure, I’ve never tried it, as the paper is made for oil based paint or pastel- so I’m not sure how the watercolor will settle on the paper (absorb in?); but it’s an extremely good quality paper, just much smoother than typical watercolor paper so that might be a consideration.
