Cartridge Repair Kit for Delta Single-Handle Faucet, Brass (86970) | Brass

I bought this Danco cartridge repair kit for my Delta single handle faucet because it started leaking and wasn’t turning as smoothly as before. Instead of replacing the entire faucet, I decided to try this first, and I’m glad I did. The kit had the parts I needed and installation was pretty straightforward. If you’ve done basic home repairs before, this is definitely manageable. After replacing the worn parts, the faucet started working smoothly again and the leaking completely stopped. The quality of the components seemed solid and everything fit correctly without needing modifications. It ended up saving me a lot of money compared to buying a brand-new faucet. What I liked most is that it brought the faucet back to almost like-new condition without much effort. Overall, this was an easy and affordable fix that worked exactly as expected.

This is all I needed to stop a leaking kitchen faucet. As shown it comes with two different sizes of insert / washers. One did not fit well while the other was perfect. The only reason I am giving it 4 start is that the O rings for the main faucet were too big for mine. Otherwise - perfect.

Im going to keep this as short and sweet as I can. I rebuilt all the faucets in the house and used 3 of these kits. It has the wrench which helps a lot! Otherwise all the parts are correct and you may or may not need everything. Its a very nice kit and in the future ill certainly come back for another.

I was able to replace all the parts without any trouble. Everything fit just fine. There were two size choices for the O rings and rubber portion of springs. Directions were easy to follow although i watched a video first which shared some helpful tips. Did need to buy a small tube of silicone. No leaks now, so very happy with the installation.

Worked great. Had everything I needed for overhaul of an old (40 year old) delta kitchen faucet. Sliding the plastic nub into the slot was a bit of a challenge. If you can hold down the side of the plastic ring with the nub, then start to screw down the outer housing piece, then switch to pushing down on the plastic ring with nub with the other hand (from the middle of the hole in the housing), the installation goes faster. Hope that helps. There is a youtube video that shows what I'm describing.

This kit didn't work with my Delta bathroom faucet. The ball and top gasket do not produce a water tight seal.

I finally got around to changing the parts and happily they fit great and the leak is no more.

Worked like a gem fixing our basic sink faucet. So good we had to buy it againfor the second bathroom sink!! Definitely worth fixing. Follow YouTube video instead of replacing your faucet!
