The band is terrific, her singing is outstanding, her stage presence commanding and entertaining. She's probably the top singer-songwriter of the 90's, her album "Come On Come On" deservedly won some Grammy's, and some of the best songs on it are here as well as "Down at the Twist and Shout." The sound is excellent but NOT 5.1. MCC and her band were perfect in every way. There were a few songs that were slightly interrupted at the beginning by her lead in voice over's, but all in all- a great DVD to have. We are huge fans of Mary Chapin Carpenter and this did not disappoint! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Please stop confusing the issue *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2013* I felt compelled to rewrite my earlier review because people are using review titles like "Wasted money" and "Disappointed" when they are upset about the DVD format being PAL instead of NTSC. I love this DVD and a while back, Amazon was selling these for about $10.00 each brand new. A steal, right? If my memory is correct, Amazon mislabeled their crop of these DVD's as NTSC. I bought three copies because I was so thrilled at finding them new for such a price, and they were all in the PAL format. Mary Chapin Carpenter is the best songwriter alive I believe, and this DVD is really very good. But so that everyone knows, the way to be sure that you are getting it in the North American, NTSC format is to check the back of the DVD case and look for five lines of fine print at the bottom of the DVD case. Five lines of fine print, instead of three lines, means that you have the NTSC format. If you are a Mary Chapin fan, please don't hesitate to buy this DVD but ask the seller first to check the DVD case.
