Review: Amazing stuff... essential and top quality for touching up metal items - I am in the process of buying old copper-plated light fixtures... largely for the quality, but also for the Craftsman look. The problem with this is that the fixtures I buy are ALWAYS a tad oxidized and/or spotted with paint. When reconditioning, I find I need to touch up the surface to restore it to it's former look. The products available for this miss the mark... metallic wax "crayons" or anything acrylic just won't last or look right. SO I decided I had to make my own finish using an oil-based polyurethane product. My favorite is MinWax Antique Oil Finish for its long drying time and easy, forgiving application – you can use cotton swabs, cotton cloths, or brushes, and can wipe off to get just the right amount applied These Mica powders are simply perfect for this, and Meyspring seems to have the best color range for matching metal finishes. Having received some, they are truly nice looking even in the jars (I've bought other brands as well). I bought a couple of jars that seemed close to my goal, but then bought their "two tone collection" to adjust the colors even more. If you've got similar refinishing or touch-up needs, making your own finish with these powders seems like a perfect solution.

**Q: Can this be used as a watercolor?**
A: Yes! MEYSPRING's Royal Gold mica powder pigment can definitely be used as a colorant for watercolor paints! Making metallic and pearlescent watercolors is easy with all our Mica Powders. Just mix the pigment powder with your DIY mixture of water, honey, and Gum Arabic, and you are ready to go! **Q: Can i use it for shimmer body oil ?**
A: I wouldnt.there are certain things ment to put on your body,this is not one of them.

**Q: So can this be used to turn regular pen ink into metallic ink? How could it not clog the ballpoint pen?**
A: While you can use MEYSPRING's Royal Gold mica powder to create metallic ink, it is best used for fountain or calligraphy pens. This is because all of our mica pigments are made up of extremely fine particles which don't dissolve, meaning they can settle in ink after a while, potentially causing clogs in ballpoint pens.

**Q: Would this color liquid silicone if mixed and then allowed to set?**
A: Thanks for your question. Yes, you can use our Royal Gold and any other MEYSPRING mica-based pigment to color liquid silicone projects as long as it is a clear or translucent silicone. If you use white or colored silicone, it can affect the final color of the pigments.
