There is a reason they named their company 'The Perfect Water'... because it's what they do.
After significant research in my quest for pure, safe water and clear ice, the data and reviews on the Home Master TMHP system made my final purchase decision easy. A month after installation I’m completely satisfied and thrilled with the performance of this system. I previously had an older GE system with the typical membrane and canister style filters. Every 6 months ‘painful’ filter changes and poor performance drove me to find a better solution. My first path was to go with a Pelican combination whole house filter and salt free water softener. My plumber and others said whole house filter was the way to go for pure water and clear ice, not so much. Even Pelican suggested RO was not needed with the whole house filter. While I’m pleased with the Pelican system, the water is indeed soft and clean throughout my home, my faucets don’t accumulate scale and no more itching skin from the massive amount of chlorine they put in the hard water here in Arizona. However, it is not the solution for pure drinking water and clear ice. Installation of the Home Master system was easy. If you’re somewhat handy, Perfect Water’s installation instructions and videos provide all you need to complete the project yourself. The color coded tubing takes the guesswork out of connecting the tubing in the system, genius when you compare that to other systems with all white tubing. All connections are easy to use ‘push-to-connect’ fittings, the installation instructions reiterate often to insure you push the tubing firmly into the fittings and then pull the tubing to insure connection. If you do this properly there will be no leaks. Performance, simply superb! When you consider my source (feed) water comes in at ~430 ppm and exits the Home Master system at ~25 ppm, the numbers don’t lie. However, check out my attached images and you will see that pictures tell the rest of the story. I can tell you the water tastes amazing, as well as my coffee and iced tea, however seeing the picture of the Home Master produced ice beside the pre-RO ice will also convince you why the Home Master system should be your choice. The facts on ‘clear ice’…. While my particular clear ice results are truly dramatic, you need to know that pure water alone does not produce truly clear ice. Cloudy ice results from 2 things, impure water and how the ice is produced. Typical icemakers in refrigerators produce ice by freezing the water from the outside, in. Through this process there will always be trapped gasses pushed to the center of the cube. For perfectly ‘clear’ ice you need pure water and a ‘clear’ ice maker. These machines freeze the water in layers freezing water from the inside, out. The result is perfectly clear, harder ice that lasts longer and makes your drinks taste amazing. These are the ice machines most restaurants use. I have one on my list, maybe one day, they are expensive. Another major selling point for me on the Home Master was the fact that you only change the filters annually and according to what I see in my system and what I’ve read, it will be easy. I also took maintenance of the system one step further by installing HM Digital’s TRM-1 Triple TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) monitor. Installation of the TRM-1 was easy, turn off the feed water supply valve and drain the storage tank to eliminate system pressure (I also unplugged the UV filter for safety). Buy a plastic tubing cutting tool (about $10.00) to insure straight tube edges for the fittings. Insert the probe tees inline where you desire to monitor TDS, it should be feed water (1/4” orange tube), post membrane (1/4” black tube) and final product water 3/8” blue tube). I also called Perfect Water and asked where I should connect the 3 monitors, their customer service department is awesome, told me how to do it and sent me a diagram. As always insure proper tubing connection in the fittings and turn your feed supply on to refill your tank and resume operation. By monitoring post membrane you can also calculate your membrane rejection rate, mine is currently operating at 97%, just as Perfect Water states in the product description (up to 98%). Online research says membranes should be replaced when rejection rate falls below 75% to 80%. This triple monitor tells me my TDS in the feed water, post membrane and post Artesian filter for the final product water. Just as the Perfect Water folks describe in FAQ’s, the post membrane water PPM in my system is about ~15 ppm and then post Artesian product water is ~25 ppm. They add minerals back to the water which results in higher ppm, however this also produces GREAT tasting water. Ideal drinking water falls in the 1-50 ppm range and is achieved from reverse osmosis, microfiltration, etc. While Perfect Water recommends annual filter changes the monitor also allows me to see when filter performance deteriorates, so maybe I change them sooner or maybe they last a little longer? Quick note on the HM Digital monitor; if you search it online you will find it comes with either 1/4” or 3/8” inline tees. The Home Master system has both 1/4” and 3/8” tubing so you will need to order the monitor with 2-1/4” tees and 1-3/8” tee. The probes that connect to the tees are all 1/4”. The fine folks at HM Digital solved that issue for me. So, what are you waiting for? Click that order button and you also will be writing a 5 star review on the amazing Home Master TMHP. Update 8-30-17: Six weeks after installation the system is humming along flawlessly producing amazing, great tasting water and ice. May I also compliment the support department at The Perfect Water. I called in and emailed with questions on my system performance and I was expertly guided through some troubleshooting which quickly resolved my initial concern. Not only does The Perfect Water manufacture superb RO systems, they back up this 5 star product with 6 star customer service! Many thanks to Will, Matthew and Tim, your professionalism and acute attention to superb customer service are a great credit to your product and your company!

Top quality water
We have poor water quality where we live. After reading about RO systems we chose the HomeMaster TMHP Hydroperfection because of its ability to clean up our tap water. It was easy to install, we like that it produces enough water for our family, the ease of maintaining the unit, easy filter replacement. It also restores calcium and magnesium for outstanding taste and quality. Service with the company has been top notch. Very good product, value priced. You won’t be disappointed.

Works Amazing and Customer Service is Top Notch
I did my research on home RO water systems and this one clearly hit the mark for me. It has 9-stages of filtration, purification, UV sterilization, and has a remineralization system. My tap water was already OK to drink and I was originally just using my refrigerator water filter dispenser to drink my tap water from...however, this was night and day once I installed this RO filtration system. Taste was noticeably different and all sense of even the slightest undertone of any odor in the water was gone. The other part is that the install can easily be DIY, you do not need a bunch of special tools or plumbing knowledge to install it. The company has easy to follow directions included in the package but also has step by step online videos for you to follow along with the install process. Even the customer service team at The Perfect Water is amazing. During a yearly switch of my filters I lost a small seal and broke the UV light which they promptly replaced under my warranty. They even walked me through a few steps I had questions on during the replacement process. It was super simple and they were excellent in making sure I had everything working properly. Lastly, I did a remodel of my whole house and found that I had to remove the system while my kitchen was rebuilt. The removal and re-install of the system was a so much easier than I anticipated, and before I did it I contacted customer support to ask about the storage procedure so that everything stayed in tact with the water system. Water pressure is great through my faucet and I even ordered the refrigerator kit so now my water and ice through the fridge are ran through my RO system. I would absolutely get another one of these if needed and highly recommend!

Well worth it!
We’ve used this thing daily for about a year now. We are very happy with our purchase. The set up was easy thanks to great instructions and a really nicely designed product. The water tastes very, very good. While I can confidently give a first hand recommendation for this unit, based on our experience with the company I can also say that it’s likely you will be happy with the purchase you make even if it is for another one of their units. We’ve really gotten the impression they stand behind what they sell. Keep in mind, if you get the permeate pump option there is a soft sound associated with the increase in efficiency. It’s not a concern for us and we enjoy the benefit.

One of the Best Investments Ever
I have city water where I am and, while admittedly better than most municipal water supplies in the country, I could taste the chlorine in the water and at times smell it as well. We grew tired of buying bottled water, lugging around cases of it from the market to home and then constantly recycling these water bottles. I researched all types of water filtration systems and this one appealed to me the most because for several reasons, namely limited water waste, quality the fact that its tubing is larger than most systems so the water does not trickle out - it pretty much gushes out. The system comes assembled except for a few connections which are very easy to attach. The system does not leak! Just make sure you have an electrical outlet nearby so you can plug in the UV light to comes with this one (otherwise there is another model which has everything buy the UV light portion). We used the wiring from a garbage disposal which was never hooked up. This system removed the taste and smell of chlorine completely from the water which is great tasting now - so long bottled water! I tested the water's ppm (parts per million) which register 88 before using the system (actually very good for city water). After filtering, the ppm was reduced to 25 but it is important to realize what the system is doing, it is actually stripping out ppms then adding back two minerals - calcium and magnesium found naturally in spring water via its full contact artesian filter component of this model. Studies seem to indicate that having these minerals in the water is better for you than water with no minerals (like distilled water which had a ppm of zero). The UV filter kills off the microbes that remain in water after filtering which is just added security. Even if you're not thinking about getting this particular model, one of the most important aspects is the permeate pump - make sure you system has it because otherwise, you will waste 4 gallons of water for every gallon of filter water you produce. This pump creates a 1:1 ratio which is the best I've seen. Most systems seem to waste 3 or more gallons for every gallon of filter water. In summary, we are very happy with our purchase and figured it would be good share. Thanks to the other reviewers who encouraged me to spring for this particular model. Update: More than 3 years later, this system continues to impress. I replace filters once a year to ensure the the water filtering is at its peak. Not having to buy cases of bottled water is a real plus. Additionally, the filtered water actually tastes better and without the harmful leaching of chemicals from those water bottles. Remember, anything recycling bottle labelled with a "1" leaches the most chemicals into its water. That's basically all the types of thin plastic bottles of water you are buying.

Worth the investment.
First of all, install is easy with instructions and video supplied by the company. This is a great RO system and works perfect for us as we are on a well with iron in the water. Perfect Water filtration tastes great. We have an expensive counter top water filtration that we no longer need to use because of this RO system. Flow rate is good. A lot depends on the pressure we have in our well pressure tank but that isn’t Perfect Water’s fault. I would highly recommend this product to anyone on a well that likes good tasting, clean drinking water. We used to buy tons of bottled water to drink and take in the go. Now that we have this system we have cut that cost out completely filling our own reusable bottles. We have more than made our money back on initial investment.

DIY install may not be for everyone, but it is for many
DIY installed. Says 45 minutes to install. I'd say this would be true if you have done anything like this before. I'd give twice that, ~1.5 hrs of focus. Three unexpected issues for me: Drilling granite. Needing a basin wrench. Storage tank not fitting under sink (laundry room sink) ; had to install in kitchen. Drilling the granite. $24 drill bit and ~30+ minutes later, I had a perfect hole. I measured twice, checked four times and measured four more times, checked and checked. Be sure you pay attention to where the hold will come out underneath. Not a lot of space in that corner. If I didn't feel 100% confident before I started to drill, I would have hired someone. Not something you can 'fix' if you mess up. You probably want a basin wrench to save yourself the slow pain of threading down the faucet from underneath. Using a wrench it was so painfully slow (physically), I left and purchased one at the local home depot; $15. Worth it. Superior Tool 03811 Eleven Inch Basin Wrench-Infinitely Adjustable 11" Spring Loaded Basin Wrench As others have said, the videos are a life saver. The videos also don't depict the reality of the tight space under the sink. Complaints: The 'silver disc' that helps regulate pressure went sideways on me after two weeks. Apparently common. Leaving the system open overnight (see troubleshooting) did not fix. The support person was fantastic. We removed it. It's more of a safety bit and not necessary.... I'll be putting it back on later. If it's broke, they will send me one. No biggie. The 'rigid' tubing. I'm sure it is up to code and can handle high pressures, but makes moving things around under a bit difficult. Can't really change that without compromise. Makes routing hoses and handling things a bit wonky (technical term). The quick connect / disconnects. This was the thing I really didn't like, but accepted since all the reviews did not complain of leaks. It works. Really well. If it's under pressure, it harder to disconnect. Makes sense. It would be nice to have a tool for this. I have big hands. I took a cheap metal fork and spread the fork end out and put the tube between it to push down on the release. Worked well enough. If I was to do it over again, I would mount it in the basement under the sink. My basement is unfinished, so no big deal.... Noise: Very little. Quietest thing in the kitchen / first floor. If it bothers you, simply dampen the wall mount. Overall, well worth it. I can fill almost all of the humidifiers at night in one shot (3 gallons). Almost drains it. It refills quick. I keep a gallon jug filled in case I need a little extra. Only have need it for the humidifiers. We use it for all food / cooking. Needless to say, the water is amazing! Better than the Culligan RO water we would buy from Whole Foods / Meijer. I figure it will pay for itself in 18 months. If I calculate in the time in store buying water, it will pay for itself much sooner. Totally worth it. UPDATE: 2017.09.07 - Waiting too long to replace the filters. Water tasted OK - but it was overdue. I'm glad I installed new filters. Was very easy to do. My water pressure / flow has increased drastically and I didn't know the water taste I was missing. I fill up three 1 liter water bottles every day (Camelbak 32oz); I couldn't imagine life without this water source. Great system. In six more months this will pay for itself, based on what the Whole Foods RO water machine water costs.

Excellent Filtration and Excellent Customer Service
This RO system took my total dissolved solids from 650, down to 63 (including remineralization) so I'm no longer drinking chlorine, algea, bacteria, viruses, or parasites. My water tastes pure and free of after taste, and I know I'm healthier for it. I've used this system for 4 years, and each year I replace their recommended filters and UV light. Each year I forget what I need to order, but after giving Home Master a call, I always receive excellent customer service. I had another great conversation with an employee today who helped me order everything I needed (and nothing I don't) and sent me helpful videos on how to perform their easy replacement procedures. This product, and more importantly, the people, behind it are wonderful.
