Review: Just Buy it, it's so worth it. - We are just one more in a huge string of 5 star reviews. This product has completely changed my 13 year old dog. She went from limping daily, stiff/slow to get up from her bed... to running around like a crazy puppy. She is back to catching her frisbee, jumping over obstacles like a horse and sprinting on hikes. Before GlycanAid, she would have been bed bound after a day like that. She now whines for "her medicine". She is a 70lb boxer/pitbull/mutt mix. I give her one tablet in the am and one at pm even though the dose is 4 tablets per day. I originally gave her the full dose right off the bat and she was sick for a couple days from it. She is doing so well, I just ordered more. TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY WORTH IT. I would have spent more money at the Vet getting x-rays and anti-inflammatories. Oh... and she had a TPLO 4 years ago. You would never know it. We do try to walk our dogs every day to keep their joints as healthy as possible.

**Q: Are the ingredients really sourced in the USA? A review states that they are not.**
A: That was my review and the ingredients are not sourced in the USA. They changed the label on the bottle I received. I did find product from Zukes that contains glucosamine and chondroitin. The ingredients are not sourced in the USA but they are sourced from New Zealand and one other country I can't recall right now - it might have been Norway. No ingredients from China and made in the USA.

**Q: What is the difference  between glycan aide ha and glycan aide maintenance?**
A: HA is for hyaluronic acid, a natural substance joints make.  It also helps wounds heal more quickly and helps elasticity and health of skin.  We are using it with our 1 yr old dog after knee surgery (she was involved in an accident).  We have previously used to help keep 14 yo Shepard and 16 yo Akita mobile.  I’m a big fan of this product for over 15 yrs.

**Q: What is the difference between GlycanAid and the GlycanAid Maintenance?**
A: Catherine both GlycanAid and GlycanAid Maintenance are the same thing. We only have two formulations...GlycanAid and GlycanAid-HA...of course the difference between the two is the HA (hyaluronic acid) which has been shown to help the joint fluid specifically.

**Q: what is the difference between Glycan Aid and Glycan Aid HA?**
A: Glycan Aid HA is the same as Glycan Aid with an additional 25 mg dose of hyaluronic acid - well explained on the www.topdoghealth.com website in checking out the product section.

This is one of those tough items for me to objectively review. I tried this brand on the recommendation of other Dalmatian people. Dalmatians don't missing an enzyme that metabolizes purines, which means that there are certain ingredients that they should not have at all or have only in limited small amounts. This brand was endorsed by other Dal folk, so we are using it. Does it work? I really don't know because they was no "Before" or "After". She was doing well and didn't "need" it. Because she had a fractured leg at 12 weeks old, she has always been on a Joint Care regime. How can I tell if a product that I have been using right along is actually "helping"? I would have to stop the usage in order to see if there was a negative / adverse effect. What I do know is that my nearly senior 11 year old Dal (average life of a Dal is said to be 12) is spry, healthy, doesn't have joint issues. I feed her intelligently. She gets exemplary care. Does this product help with that? To some degree, I think that it does. Can I prove it? Things that I do know: She won't eat the pills unless I peanut butter them; then she easily chews them right up. At her size, she gets two nightly, along with a Salmon Oil Pill. I have no plan to stop giving them to her. We are on a subscription for them. I guess that qualifies as a recommendation?
