Gyeon Prep Paint Cleaner and Degreaser for Ceramic Coating Installs 1000ml

I've been using this product for years. I don't know if it is necessairly does a better job than competing products, but I have always had successfult ceramic coats while using it. I feel have been using Gyeon prep even when using other ceramic top coating brands like Carpro and CSL. Smells great too. Leaves surface streak free and clean. Speay bottle is high quality

Gyeon Q²M Prep is a must-have final wipe-down before any ceramic coating, sealant, or wax. It cuts through residual polish oils, fingerprints, and light contaminants like a champ, leaving the paint perfectly clean, streak-free, and anti-static for maximum bonding. Spray on, wipe off with a clean microfiber—no heavy scrubbing needed—and it evaporates smoothly without haze or residue. The pleasant scent makes the job enjoyable, and a little goes far. Compared to similar preps, it feels more lubricated and controlled, dissolving oils effectively rather than just wiping them around. Essential for pro-level results on any detail. Highly recommended—solid 5/5 for prep step reliability.

Amateur detailer on my own stuff, but I try to use good products. Gyeon makes ceramic coating dead simple. The final product is 1000% driven by the work you do BEFORE you apply the coating and Gyeon Prep is a fantastic last step of prep. It removes grease and oils that will prevent the coating from adhering to the paint giving a nice surface to work with. Their Pure Evo is REALLY easy to apply and the results are fantastic. That combination will give you a really nice final product.

Great product, easy to use

Seems to do a nice job of removing polishing residue and old wax/sealants from the paint, but again so does the alternative of alcohol and water. The product smells nice, has a great presentation, and nice sprayer (same the one Car Pro uses). It only takes a few sprays to wipe down a panel. It doesn't necessarily make removing polish from a panel easier. But after wiping with a towel and spraying this on the panel you have a tactile sense that the panel was cleaned. I also find that spraying this on after wiping off the polish is the most economical way of using it. If you are willing to spend the 15 bucks it is definitely an improvement over IPA, but not a massive one by any stretch. I do think if you are applying Coating this is must. Even if you are just using wax, spraying this on and cleaning the panel seems to extend LSP durability and mitigates any concerns over product compatibility.

If you're planning on ceramic coating your car, don't underestimate how important the prep step is. I picked up GYEON Prep because I wanted to make sure the paint was completely clean before applying my coating, and it has become one of those products I wouldn't want to detail without. After polishing the paint, I spray Prep onto a microfiber towel and work one section at a time. It does a great job removing the leftover polish oils and residue that you don't necessarily notice just by looking at the paint. After wiping it down, the surface feels completely clean and ready for the coating. What I really like is how easy it is to use. There's no complicated process, spray, wipe, and follow up with a clean microfiber towel. It also flashes off quickly, so I'm not spending forever going back over the same panel. I used it as the final step before applying my ceramic coating, and I think it makes a big difference in giving you confidence that you're actually bonding the coating to clean paint rather than leftover polishing oils. You can also see the paint change slightly as you're working because the product removes some of the oils that can make the finish look artificially glossy after polishing. One thing I'd recommend is using good, clean microfiber towels and working in smaller sections. You don't want to introduce more dust or contamination right before applying your coating. I also wouldn't skip this step just because the paint looks clean, polishing can leave behind residue that isn't always obvious. Overall, GYEON Prep is a simple product, but it's one of the most important parts of my ceramic coating setup. It makes the final paint preparation quick and easy, and knowing the surface is properly cleaned before applying the coating gives me much more confidence in the whole process. If you're doing a DIY ceramic coating, I'd definitely keep a bottle of this on hand.

This as the name suggests gets the car paintwork ready for a final finish. If you doing a ceramic or wax Finnish this prep gets the surface ready. None better.
