The smell everyone is referring to is the geranium oil. It's like a citrusy-musk scent. It can also be described as masculine floral. Citronella is a type of geranium. Which is why some people say it also works as a bug repellent. I don't love it, but I didn't want synthetic fragrance either. I love the natural ingredients. Most importantly, I give it 5 stars because it works. I am a mom of 3, and I don't have time to be laying out all day. I try to get a base tan at the beginning of the season so I don't look like a ghost in shorts. I could feel this working quickly. It is a tanning accelerator. I would not recommend wearing it for long days at the beach. I use it for short sun exposure only. It also absorbs really well, and it leaves your skin moisturized. It is thick so the spray nozzle didn't work very well. Thankfully they give you the option to use either. If you are looking for a tanning accelerator oil with all natural ingredients and don't mind smelling like bug spray for a little bit I would recommend this.

Best body oil as it is so moisturizing. Dries quickly and doesn’t stay greasy. Love the smell. Makes my skin so soft. Great after being in the sun and always helps if you get a little too much sun. I have been using for years and the product is always high quality.

I was not paid or compensated to write this review! In fact, this is the first review I've written in ages but I am beginning to find it hard to trust Amazon reviews b/c so many are compensated for the review. OK - with all that said - I finally broke down and bought this after seeing it on Pinterest a dozen times. Much to my surprise, it does work! I have a light complexion and blonde hair. I have to be very careful in the sun or I will burn. My chest area almost always gets pink so I still put sunscreen just on my chest. I am thrilled to report I have a gorgeous golden tan and I have not burned this year even though I have stayed out in the sun longer than normal. I even went to the beach and I almost always burn at the beach, no matter how much sunscreen I use. I think the salt water and sand just scrapes the sunscreen off. But with this Serum, no burn at all. I don't think the smell is bad but it's certainly not as delicious as the coconut/tropical smell of my former oils and lotions. Now I can clean out my bag of the half a dozen lotions and oils and just use this and a facial sunscreen. Now I am betting my review will help sell a couple of bottles so if the makers want to send me a couple of bottles of this expensive (worth it) tan-in-a-bottle - I'd love it!

I'm big on reviews! So I'm only writing this for those that are like me and need honest feedback. With that being said, I love this stuff! It goes on and feels more on the oily/greasy side so be prepared to wipe it off your finger tips (especially before you touch near the root of your hair, hello oily roots) BUT! Besides that my skin looks glowy and moisturized! I love putting this on as part of my skincare routine and before my makeup for that dewy look! It looks and feels nice on my arms and legs too! Now, for the claims that say it will help you tan. This is true....ish! I put it on before sitting out back while I was reading and usually it takes me foreverrrrr to see any color, and I noticed within 30 mins - hour a tan line forming! Now heres where you need to be careful-- everyone has different skin types and shades. What works for one person may not work for you. IF you have fair skin, easily burn, or sensitive skin i would use caution. I'm white with fair skin throughout the winter, but I do have the ability to tan. And my first time using this on myself I burned a little. But for whatever reason, by the next day my burn was turning into a tan. Way faster than it normally does. Maybe because this stuff has nutritive properties. My friend even noticed and say "wow your arms are looking tan!" And she asked me what ive been doing, because shes outside WAY more than me, and I had to laugh and say I think its this stuff I got off Amazon. So I say give it a try, but know your skin. If you start to feel the tight stinging feeling while outside with it on, you're probably burning. Think of it as putting tanning oil on while being out in the sun. Some can handle it some can't. But otherwise, use it on your face every night and notice the difference! Like my fiancé says, I look like a glazed donut when I get ready for bed, and thats how I know I'm doing it right!

I like this serum. Although I have somewhat of a base already I found only using it 2 times it created a dark rich tan. The serum feels like a tanning oil and it shines like one when you rub it on. A little goes a long way. When packaging the spray nozzle that comes with it should be omitted out of packing (it’s useless) and just as easy to rub on with your hands. I’m not crazy about the smell, to me it smells like natural bug spray. I think it’s very costly for a tanning serum but yes I will continue to use it because I am achieving the results it promises. I don’t think you will be disappointed with this serum but be willing to pay double what you would for a good tanning oil. (I am comparing it to a tanning oil because it’s so similar, the texture, the application, the fact there is no spf in it.)

My wife and I like hanging out in the pool on weekends. We've always used Hawaiian Tropic dark tanning oil with no SPF. We tried the Body Nutritive Serum, and it's so much less greasy while still giving great moisturization to our skin. We were in the pool for two hours and didn't burn at all with it. It just moisturizes deeply and keeps the skin from drying out. It was weird, because we got out of the pool and we were both pink, but it wasn't sunburn. It didn't sting to be touched. The next day, no pink, just tan. My wife put more on the next day, and it gave her a great glow, especially on the legs. We used so much in the first two weeks, we bought another for when it ran out. Oh, and they have two caps, depending on how you like to apply: There's a spray cap, more for outside we've found, to spray it on. And there's a lotion cap, where it just pops up so you can squeeze a dab on your finger, which I'll use to apply on a little exzema I have behind my ears.Works great for it, I've found

this is by far the best product if have ever purchased. i am a low maintenance kind of person and i use this year round, head to toe, everyday. in the summer, i take it with me to the pool and i never get dried out from pool chemicals. i used to burn after a few hours in the sun. now, i might get red the first day out, but it turns to a really nice base color by the next day. in the past, i would never truly tan. i would get a sunburn, peel, then continue to have just a base tan depth of color. this is my second summer using this product, and i have only been to the pool 2xs so far and have a very nice, deep color. as i went to reorder today, as i'm getting low and CANNOT be without it, a purchase reminder from the past came up and said that i last ordered in august of 2016! i use this every single day. the secret to it is that a very little goes a very long way. you put it on while your skin is still damp. after my shower, i barely dry off. i towel dry my hair, pat my body down and dry the bottom of my feet so i don't slip getting out. while my hands are still damp, i add a few drops, rub my hands together, and palm by face and neck/chest area. then a re-wet my hands a bit add more and repeat the process on the rest of my body. it is the most affordable, effective, and pure thing i do for myself each and everyday and i would be lost without it.

Lightweight, oily solution with a citrusy fragrance. I live in Florida on the Gulf and there are these black bugs that are drawn to the fragrance and they bite. I stopped using for this reason so I’m not sure if the product works for tanning or not. I plan to use it after showers for a moisturizer instead.

This body serum is so nice and works really well. I use it with a body lotion and makes my skin look and feel wonderful
