The clips it comes with are quite stiff so taking it out of the cage was hard work, so I replaced them for mini carabiner instead so that it doesn't damage the coating on the cage wires.Sturdiness: can make this tight or loose fit, the straps are quite long so in my cage I have to clip it round some bars to make it fit better.Rats thoughts: naturally who knows! But they seem to like it, they like to sit in it to watch me, or to eat snacks... Thus its currently covered in seed shells and discarded bits of food they aren't fans of! The material is thick and soft and the hole in the middle brings a lot of joy to my boys who love poking their heads out :) it is quite narrow though, way more than I expected.
